Kestrel WP Guide Top
The WP Kestrel Guide | By PikachuVids
Kestrel WP is mostly about brute force and stuns from mist. Using WP allows you to use mist even if hurt in combat. If relying more on stuns, overdrive Active Camo rather than overdriving Glimmershot.
Weapon Power is very effective in early rounds but less effective in later matches. To have the same effectiveness, you must stay ahead of the farm. Farm is very important to have an edge over your oppoments.
Lane Kestrel Top
Staying Ahead of your Oppoments Top
Lanning with WP Kestrel is usually very powerful in the early game. If you are not good at Last Hitting, then you might want to get a swift shooter to help. WP Kestrel is not as strong with Glimmershot early on and is actually weaker than your basic attacks early on so use then to keep a distance on enemy laners.
When laning, try to maintain your farm as much as possible. Last hit to make sure you get the gold and xp. When rotating keep eye on your enemy laner and notion for your teammates to rotate up to make sure the enemy laners does not try to take down the turret.
Stock up on potions so when your low on EP or HP you can heal up easily. Try to have at least 5 on you whenever possible.
Choosing Teammates Top
Choosing teammates are as important as your play skill as well. When going WP Kestrel, you want a good Roam and a good Jungle.
Roam:
Choosing a good roam is important for Kestrel. Active Camo can be hard to predict where enemies can go so, choosing a roam with a stun such as Catherine or a roam that can pull enemies in such as Phinn, works well with Kestrel
Jungle:
Jungle partners are important as well. Choosing a jungler with strong support will help out as well. Such as Krul. Powerful burst damage heroes also work well such as Taka, Koshka or Reim.

Position is key to winning team fights. Keeping distance is important. In a team fight, you want to be far away enough that enemies can't reach you as easily, close enough able to still hurt enemies from a distance.
When escaping 1 on 1s, use Active Camo to your advantage. If you are low on health, use Active Camo to run away. If you are not low, use Active Camo. If they are desperate to get you, they will probably go through the mist. Once they are in, use a Glimmershot to detonate the mist dealing lots of damage.
Adrenaline Top
Adrenaline
"Whenever Kestrel lands a basic attack, she gains 10% attack speed and reduces the cost of her abilities by 10%. This stacks up to 5 times and and wears off after 4 seconds."
Adrenaline helps out when farming in lane or jungle. Each stack reduces the cost of EP for abilities by 10%. It as long allows you to attack faster each attack. The max stack is 5 so it would reduces it by 50%. For example, Glimmershot costs 50 EP so 50% of 50 is 25 EP.
Glimmershot Top
Glimmershot
"Kestrel fires an arrow, landing an armor-piercing basic attack on the first target in its path. The arrow then pierces through, dealing crystal damage to the target and other enemies behind it."
Glimmershot can be used to detonate mist. Weapon Power Kestrel is mainly about using Active Camo and detonating it in front of enemies. So, because Glimmershot is not as effective with WP, overdriving it is useful. Glimmershot can be an excellent way to fire at enemies at long ranged.
Active Camo Top
Active Camo
Kestrel instantly vanishes from sight and gains bonus move speed. Additionally, she leaves an invisible phosphor mist at her location, revealing enemies as they walk through it. If Kestrel deals damage to an enemy hero within the mist, the mist will detonate, damaging and stunning all enemies within its area for 0.8 seconds.
Kestrel's basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Active Camo by 1 second. However, Active Camo cannot be triggered while Kestrel is taking damage from an enemy hero, putting it on a 2.5 second cooldown. The length of time Active Camo is disabled is reduced by bonus weapon power."
Kestrel WP is very effective with Active Camo. If you rely on faster Active Camo cooldown and longer mist duration plus more detonation damage, overdrive Active Camo rather than Glimmershot. WP allows Kestrel to activate Active Camo even if taking damage from enemy heroes.
One Shot One Kill Top
One Shot One Kill
"After a delay, Kestrel fires a single arrow across the fold, impacting on the first enemy hero, large creature or structure in its path. When this hits an enemy hero, it reveals that hero and grants Kestrel full Adrenaline stacks. This deals 50% damage to non-heroes.
The base damage dealt by this ability is weapon damage. Higher ranks of this ability gain armor piercing."
Use One Shot One Kill only if you are sure you can kill an oppoment. Use this ability on stealing Kraken not on other NPCs or turrets. One Shot One Kill is an effective way to deal damage from your base to aid your teammates or just flat out get revenge. One Shot One Kill is effective when used in Active Camo because they cannot see you to target you. I suggest overdriving Active Camo if planning to use this combination.
Jungle Kestrel Top
Staying Ahead of your Oppoments Top
Starting ahead of your oppoments, like lane, is very important. Like Lane Kestrel, farming I'd key to staying ahead. Invading enemy jungle camps is effective because WP Kestrel is very strong in the early game.
Choosing Teammates Top
Like lane, choosing teammates are important to your playing style. When going WP Kestrel jungle, you want a good Roam that can back you up and a good laner that can handle their own lane as well as rotating when needed.
Roam:
Choosing a good roam is important for Kestrel. Active Camo can be hard to predict where enemies can go so, choosing a roam with a stun such as Catherine or a roam that can pull enemies in such as Phinn, works well with Kestrel.
Lane:
Laners are important. There isn't a doubt about that. A good laner needs to be able to maintain a good farm but rotate to help when needed. Strong, burst damage laners are useful in situations where you are low on health. Ringo and Skaarf are some examples. Sturdy but powerful laners are useful for engaging. Some examples are Adagio and Reim (If Reim is going lane).
Fights Top
Just like lane, position is key as well. Keeping your distance and using detonation to escape or engage are important to winning battles.
