Kestrel was made to be hyper offensive whether you build red or blue, meaning that you should only really build one defensive item, preferably with a
Reflex Block. Now, seeing as this build is a lane carry build, feel free to build
Aegis for the extra bulk, and leave the
Crucible for your Roamer to pick up. You'll also notice I've listed
Fountain of Renewal, I've put it there not so much as an item that fits
Kestrel well, more just because it's a good item overall, and can really help your team as a whole. But if you are to buy it, I'd recommend running it while cloaked although you should keep in mind that you can't activate your cloak while getting attacked. So you can't use it like
Taka's cloak.
The biggest difference you'll see with this guide's item list and others, is the
Tension Bow. It's role on this build is to make you a bigger influence early game. This is huge especially in the current meta where you have
Fortress and
Koshka being the most common jungle pair. You can run
Kestrel as a mix up from
Ringo or
Glaive in lane. It also complements her A and C abilities with the Armour Pierce.
Another aspect of my list you might disagree with, is my recommendation to biuld
Tornado Trigger before
Tyrant's Monocle. I did so because the cooldown of your B ability is lowered by two seconds for every basic attack you land. But depending on your playstyle, you might want to run Tyrant's Monicle first, and I'm sure it'll be just as effective.
