barron, when played well, is the biggest threat on a team. he is capable of dealing massive damage very quickly, forcing enemies to move away to dodge his mortar. his ult can be a solo ace. that's how powerful he can be. learn to use your abilities weaknesses into strengths.

one of the key aspects of barron is his low health. late game, you can easily find yourself be feeding if your health isn't built up a bit. that's why the war treads are there instead of the typical journey boots. he has his jet pack for evades, so doesn't need the passive speed. the war treads allow him to support his team by getting them all shifting at once, whether in pursuit or escape. that +500 health lets you tank any damage for that quick getaway, while making him also less weedy in team battles for the kraken, or skirmishes
the crucible also adds into this team support/tank. that +600 health makes him much more bulky and threatening, as it can make the enemy look at your health bar, and assume you've gone for a Tank Barron, so they can back off in 1v1's in the lane. that reflex block is very useful for your team-mates, supporting a Phinn, Lance or even Fortress when they are up front, doing their thing.
KNOW WHEN TO RUN AWAY!!!
even with all that health, you can't solo an entire team. you are not Invulnerable. a Barron can save a turret, steal a kraken, but not when he's dead. support your team-mates, but if they are both dead, get out of there. i've played with many a Baron who tries to take on glaive in the jungle and whatnot. they had to find new mains pretty quick.
with the mortar, use the fact the enemy can see the effect zone. as your ult can only be seen for 0.9 secs before it detonates, use your mortar to kite them into it, before they make a desperate dash to escape. its always fun to see a panicking glaive spam side to side when they know what's happened

the key to this build is the mortars. with all that crystal extra damage, this thing hits harder than 6 sorrow blades on a ringo. if your quick with the fingers, you can hit someone with both, and that's a hero dead. it is ridiculous. however, you need the energy to keep this up. similar to adagio, early/midgame all your energy will just drain away. get the void battery before anything. next, get that shatterglass. this adds so much damage it is stupid. once you get this, your dps goes up by about 400 just from this.add everything else, including the sorrowblade, and it is crazy. you are the threat. the clockwork is variable. it can be changed for a tornado trigger or another sorrowblade, maybe a tension bow, if you prefer weapons. but what i love about it, is the ult charge. it will mean you can have it for every skirmish out there. +, the mortars will rain. you will destroy lane minions. the most ive killed in a game, has been around 200. it lets you chain, while also letting you escape quicker, and get back to your base quicker with the jump pack. it works well with the echo, because then you can have back to back ultimates in a fight.
GET AS MANY MORTARS/ULTS AS POSSIBLE! BE A CLOUD! RAIN! RAIIIIIN!
the sorrowblade is also a variable. i find it useful for lanes, because even with that echo, you can run out of energy in a heated moment. it lets your basic attack become that bit better. also useful mid-game against not fully built tanks who are resistant to abilities.
the one major weakness in the build Top
Speed can be an issue with this build, make sure you get that clockwork.
