Hello community! Today I'll bring you the Phinn guide for both tanking and causing damage.
Firstly, why did I get a Shatterglass? Phinn's A does 600 damage with 170% crystal ratio bonus at max level, which is 255 extra damage.
Its overdrive lets you stun enemy heroes and cause a whopping 855 damage. I recommend getting its overdrive as soon as possible.
Aside from that, a Shatterglass also helps a lot with his ult as it does 500 damage with 150% crystal ratio. Eventually, you can use this ult to pull enemies back into combat while giving them 725 damage.
Due to this, a good combo is to stand near your turrets, use your ult to pull them towards the turret. As soon as they get pulled, the turrets stop targeting minions and start shooting at enemy heroes. Right after that use a Quibble to stun enemies.
Eventually you'd be dealing 1580 damage (disregarding armor) and stun enemies for turrets to shoot them. If heroes - for example, Taka - runs away with his B use your B to cancel his and pull him back to the turret. Then simply land a Quibble and you're all set.
If the enemy team does have very high health, an Aftershock can help you deal extra 400 damage. That's eventually
almost 2,000 damage in 4 seconds (my god).
The rest of the build is for pure tanking and supporting.
-Crucible gives you lots of HP, and when you or your ally needs to block an ability, you can activate it.
-Fountain of Renewal can heal you and your allies when not in combat, and when you team needs it activate it. Its insta-heal can save lives.
-Purchase a Metal Jacket or an Aegis depending on whether the enemy team is a WP or CP concentrated. A WP concentrated team has 2 heroes building weapon power. A CP concentrated team, in the other hand, has 2 heroes going for crystal power. But why not Atlas Pauldron? Because it provides only half the armor compared to Metal Jacket; thus, an Atlas Pauldron is no use against hit-and-run heroes, including Skaarf, Ringo.
-A War Treads is a must-ave for any supporters, as your allies and you can accelerate towards almost dead enemies and finish all of them, ideal for pushing towards turrets, Minion Mine, Gold Mine or The Kraken.
-Lastly, if the enemy team does too much damage at range, you can swap that Aftershock for another Crucible. Then you'll have decent armor/shield and chunks of HP so you won't die in combat.
IMPORTANT: Even though Phinn can deal quite an amount of damage with this build, his ult and A can be dodged. When there are no allies nearby and when you get chased, use your A to stun enemies and then activate War Treads to run, as Phinn can't chase or outrun many heroes, as well since his basic attacks have no real use.
