Ability B should be the 1st ability you get! Max B and Ult. Skip Level 5 if you like.
BUY: Contract and 1 potion, rush to jungle, by the time you get to jungle store buy a mine.
Try to get the 1st hit on minions. Leave the last hit for your partner. "TEAM UP" on minions, much quicker to clear jungle.
Rush items, after 2+ rotation jungle, invade enemy jungle! Top
Be sure to have Oakheart, Light Shield, and Stormguard Banner. (For enemy jungle invade!)
Be carful with last hits, you start hitting harder on minions.
If you're with Koskha and he is CP, he hits hard too. Try NOT to steal loot from your team mates, he needs to carry you with damage, all you can do is set bleeds on enemies and a few stacks. Other than that, YOU as FORTRESS does not do as much damage as your other carries!
I have gone 12 mins without boots, if you're close to your buddies, they'll give you natural increase of speed without buying physical boots. If you're left alone in the jungle you do NOT walk fast, buy boots at that point. BUT if you're planning to be alone, you're playing FORTRESS incorrectly. You will die by yourself.
Please Rush: Fountain and Horn, before you buy boots.
Mana will start to hurt at this point, because I never teleport back home. Clockwork is a perfect item for mana and quicker CDs. (CoolDown's)
PRO TIP: You and your buddy in the jungle are BEST FRIENDS. He gives you natural boots and guess what? ITS FREE!
Optional/Situational items Top
Ardan Ult, Adaigo Ult: buy reflex or complete crucible! If you're separated from friends you WILL DIE. Adaigo's stun is nasty if you get stunned in it.
SAW, Ringo, WP Petal, Vox, Celeste: Atlas!
Taka, Koshka: Shiversteel slow them down after they hit and run like cowards.
USE CANDY with your ULT, give them a small boost of damage. Try to auto hit any with bleeds.
Pro tip: Leap in with A, hit ULT, and use CANDY!
Do not ULT without leaping in. They're useless for VISION. It's a waste of an ULT. (Just my opinion)
Unless there is a single enemy up, for overkill why not? Flex away!
