Please stop reading if you cannot skillshot.
Reim is a skillshot hero, and he needs near-perfect aiming to get the job done.
Reim is first and foremost a mage, but he has the additional power to be as tanky as
Glaive and have the damage-over-time close to that of
Skaarf.
Because of these differences, he is also a MELEE HERO. That is
Reim's only weakness.
Reim has the potential to be the "prince of 1v1s", second only to the king,
Krul. Although, in 1.16, SEMC did completely destroy his barrier from
Dead Man's Rush, so... it's possible to be the king in a good game.
If
Reim doesn't get his farm, like most heroes, he is a potato. Therefore, you need farm. You don't need as much farm as heroes like
Ringo or
Glaive, but you still need a few quick final items.
Here is a quick overview of his abilities:
:
Frostguard-
Reim's tankiness explained: dealing CP damage of any kind gives
Reim some fortified health proportional to the damage dealt. Also, his basic attacks deal crystal damage over time, and apply a small slow and chilled.
:
Winter Spire-
Reim's main ability, Reim throws a pillar which deals damage, then explodes. This is your entire source of damage, basically. Overdrive at level 8.
:
Chill Winds- Once you poke someone or hit someone with a spire, you can freeze them in place. Useful for fighting folks like
Glaive and
Krul.
:
Valkyrie-
Reim's ultimate is all for that stun and slow. It has more range than your
Winter Spire, so once you get
Frostburn you can use it to chase.
