The battle for the Halcyon Fold has begun... Top
So, I'm sick of seeing guides that say ardan couldn't could hurt a fly.
Well, he couldn't. But the fly wouldn't do any damage to him either damnit!
If you are anything like me, when you play, you like to invade the enemy jungle to give them a taste of level 1-2 power. Great! Then this guide is for you because it makes you unkillable (unless you do something stupid) from beginning to end.
30 seconds in: Invasion Top
Whether you like to play it safe and wait for them to attack you, or rush in and kick-butt, you can't do it unprepared!
This build is solely built on your ability to predict what the enemy will build, and counter build before they build it. Make sense? Good!
So early game if you the opposing enemy is building say:
Taka,
Ringo, and Cathycath Cathrine, what is the most prevailent build thats on the team?
WEAPON POWER. So, instead of getting your Ironguard Contract or Oakheart, go ahead and pick up
Light Armor first, and two
Halcyon Potion's and watch magic happen as you defend your team Vanguard and take their baby taps.
DO NOT CHASE THEM TO THEIR TURRENTS After they run like they do 95% of the time, let your team take their first two mobs, and slowly move towards the other two if you manage to get a kill, take those, and get the hell out of there, and from then, move on to your
Ironguard Contract.
Same thing vice versa with CP, the main thing you want to look out for is
Catherine and a early level 2
Celeste stun.
Also, Always knock out Celeste first, it will save you a lot of trouble protecting teammates.
Protect and...Protect. Top
After you have
Gauntlet this is where the fun begins. By this time you should have at least ONE max defence item and decent health items if not
Crucible.
I suggest gathering your teammates, and single out the ranged dps on the lane early and knock him out, and attack the turrent if you can. Knocking him out will give your laner a decent minute to collect some gold. Stay nearby to protect him as much as possible, collecting money off of your ironguard.
Same thing with team-fights, avoid trapping whole teams if you're not well prepared, even killing just 1 enemy quickly can change the tide.
You can however, trap full teams if you have
Celeste,
Vox, or anyone who can do some decent Aoe damage or stun. Let's hope that your ranged dps stays out of the circle as well, because the enemy can still attack btw.
It's always fun trapping

End-game and Tips. Top
After level 6 your Protect and Attacking methods are pretty much static. But don't get rusty!
Trap and attack, protect and attack, not much to it.
A few tips though are of course to always keep both your team and enemy at opposite bays, and you be in the middle. Make yourself the center of attention, and if you have to engage, YOU engage first. I've went full 35 minute matches without ever dying once trust me on this. As a matter of fact just yesterday I had a taka hitting below 100s on me (WP) swinging slow as hello
Metal Jacket
Atlas Pauldron Silver Steel, and a support catherine hitting below 40's. END GAME. I was having so much fun with them I walked back to their turrent just so some adequate damage could be done to me (literally) and my teammates just sat their laughing (while they were smacking the kraken)
Krul style.
Remember like I said, this Build is all about prediction, you've played long enough to know how these players work, it's time you worked against them.
Never rest, never get comfortable. Counterbuild for every occasion.
This is my first guide, sorry if it's a little dry, i'd like any tips and questions.
