Flicker,the assassin/tank/disrupter/initiator carry Top
Hi guys,im iScruB(iCuP0XD in game),im in tier 9 of rank(POA)and i want to share with you guys a intresting build that can work out in the higher rank of plays(not reccomended for low ranks).
Firstly,flicker is supposed to be a support hero,giving him high base health and protection stats,which makes him a suitable frontliner.Give him a 3.5 movement speed and stealth he is gold for an assassin.Give him high cc hes a strong intiator.This all paired up together give him high versatility in a team fight.Able to disrupt fights effortlessly and allow his team to stick to target easily puts him in a suitable position to be a jungle carry with a powerful lane carry(or hyper carry)who can effectively tank and lock down teams easily.This couls be same for the roam position,however it would be easy to ignore you as the other team can just dive straighr pass flicker and need not worry about damaging him till the end of a fight.Flicker is also a very tiny character,making him easy to ignore,howevee ignoring him in the weapon path would lead to devastating effect if the breaking point stacks up.
General strategy Top
Flicker is a frontline tank/assassin.Although unable to dish out massive damage quickly,he makes that up with sustain and crowd control and stealth,which makes the team more like a assassin rather than just him.Also able to tank effectively is something an assassin would not excel at.With these in mind,a hyper carry in lane(such as a mage like celeste or adagio or a sniper like vox or skye)would greatly benefit from having effectively two supports backing him/her up.This would be a good strategy to imply if there is trust between members of a team.Stealth can also be used to great effect if the carry is getting ganked or dived on.
The main goal of flicker is not to kill,but rather assist in killing the other team like a support/roam,but also in a way that you cannot be ignored by the enemy team and having great cc to assist you and your team in the team fight.
However there are counters to flicker,mainly opposing crowd controls.If one is unable to block these or dodge them,flicker would not be able to stick to the opposing target and the effect of a wp flicker would not be as noticable.Although he has a 3.5 movement speed and stealth,he is not as strong in escaping sticky situation or huge crowd controls,which makes him better to be drafted into dual ranges carries matchup.
Build path Top
Firstly,focus on damage and survivalbility like an assassin.As flicker is stronger in the early game with higher base stats,assume the role of an assassin and try to outdamage the enemy as much as possible.Build sustain items like defene or lifesteal later on to be that frontline disruptor for your team.Build team wide items like atlas pauldrons or foutains if need be.Play aggresively but do not overextend in the jungle in the early game and get ahead in the early game.Prior late game build defensively as to be effective in his role or if you are ahead build more offensively.Lastly,do not fear death as flicker and rely on your lane carry mainly to win games.
