What you need to know first and foremost?
As promoted, Skye is made to meet hardcore's gamers' appetite, namely the Korean market. (By all means i'm not saying myself is a hardcore gamer, but just speaking solely on my own limited experiences) It's like an aggressive version of Vox and It has a very high mastery level and skill cap. I'm not sure if she's the most fragile hero stat-wise, but she definitely feel very fragile. She's not one that could effectively solo jungle due to the low survivability. So if you chose to play Skye, you should go to lane or duo jungle with a support with iron guard. Regardless of item built, you will most likely be the weakest hero to withstand one on one fire (even with attack speed + life steal + armour/shield).
The style of play
This item built are based around Skye's strength of pursuing opponent, in that it emphasise on CP instead of the default weapon built.Due to this, her basic attack is rather weak. She would not be in opponent's sight at the initiation of a battle, but will ambush mid fight/team kiting to leave low health opponent no chance.
At the beginning of the game, play safe instead of trying to score solo kill, i find that getting boot first helps tremendously in terms of picking up last hit and survival. After getting some starter item such as boot and probably a heart to get some survivability, i'll get a frostburn built due to its slow + high cp. Next i will finish off 2nd tier boot, follow by reflex block -> EoH -> Chronograph. With such in place, i will start building AC or alternatively Shiversteel. Finishing off with Clockwork or Aegis is a matter of personal choice (normally i will finish clockwork first if my team is on killing spree, or Aegis first if my side is being pressured by opponent)
Personally I'm not fond of Skye's first skill due to the slowing down of the character. I love second skill due to its jump+ attack nature (Vox *cough*). Skye ultimate is very deadly in CP built, hence mastering where and how to deploy it during battle can be the differences between top kills in the game or just ...not top kill. Aside from heroes that has high health pool by nature, a well deployed ulti can easily take down a whole packed opponent, especially surprising them in jungle over bush.
The key of playing Skye, is to know when to pick a fight, as well as target to kill, due to her fragility. Unlike Taka, Skye has zero survival skill that could offer her an escape. For Skye, you either walk away gloriously at the end of battle, or be the one watching countdown timer, there are almost no escape for her, unless opponent choose to not target you first, which is very rare (either because you're new hero or just experienced player know you're fragile)
Ending
I wish i could share more, but at this point, aside from the generally OP krul, i has fiery hate towards Glaive when playing Skye, his ability to push you towards disadvantageous spot further exploit your ability to escape. Unless you're pro and has good ping, you might be able to pull off with reflex shot + skill 2 to buy yourself back a few yards, which then Glaive will further crit you for another significant portion of your health.
Hope this guide could help a lil on your journey. It's just 2 cents from an amateur player.
