Abilities Top

Passive- boom stick: after not basic attacking for a certain amount of time, your next basic attack deals bonus damage. This is useful in lane for last hitting, and harassing the enemy laner. If you build wp, this is your main damage source.

A- buckshot bonanza: this ability deals AOE damage in a cone and reveals and slows enemies. The base damage of this ability deals wp damage. This ability is the main damage source for cp Gwen, and due to the 210% cp scaling this ability does a sizable chunk of damage to enemies. No matter what build you do, I recommend maxing this skill first.

B- skedaddle: Gwen passively gains .9 move speed while not taking damage. If you take damage, you lose this bonus. After 4 seconds of not taking damage, this bonus. Activating this ability gives Gwen a temporary speed boost, and it removes all movement imparing abilities, and it blocks all cc for the next .5 second. This ability is like a second reflex block, and a second boots. This ability is a really strong escape, and counter to heroes like Catherine and lance. For wp builds I max this second, so I can have the lower cool down. For cp builds, you have enough cool down reduction that you can max aces high.

C- aces high: Gwen throws a card that deals damage and stuns the first enemy hero that it hits. This ability is fairly hard to hit, because of the narrow hit box. It is best used to chain cc enemies after one of your allies has locked them down.

Early game Top

Early game cp Gwen is pretty weak. Her poke is not very good, and her autos don't hurt very much. I buy a weapon blade to help with last hitting, and a crystal bit so I can build into my shatterglass. Gwen's early game energy pool is very low, so I don't recommend spamming your a.

Mid game Top

By around 8 minutes you should have completed your shatterglass and your clockwork. This will give you a lot of cp damage, and sustain. If you have both items, your buckshot is on a low enough cool down that you can spam it in fights, and you will have enough energy regen that you probably won't run out of energy. The next item that I would build is broken myth. It gives you shield pierce, and a decent amount of cp, but the main reason that this item is good is because of the cp gained during fights. The percent cp boost from broken myth also is buffed by clockwork, so by the end of a fight you can have upwards of 400 cp from 3 items.

Late game Top

Late game cp Gwen is a monster, as long as she can position well. She can hit the entire enemy team with a short cool down burst ability that has a 210% cp scaling. In late game fights, you should position towards the back and poke with your a, and if an enemy gets out of position you can throw your aces high to secure a pick.

Itemization Top

For cp Gwen, I normally go shatterglass into clockwork into broken myth for my core items. These three items give you all of the cool down reduction and energy regen that you need, as well as s lot of cp. for boots I typically go for halcyon chargers, but if you need the extra move speed, and the lower cool down active journey boots work as well. For defense options, I typically go for aegis on Gwen, because it gives you a reflex block, and a fair amount of health and shield. This item is good to help against getting bursted down, and blocking predictable ultimate like koshka' or krul's. I also sometimes go crucible, if the enemy team has a good balance of wp and cp damage, and I still need the reflex block. I only buy metal jacket if the entire enemy tea, is wp, and they don't have any reliable cc.
