 Adagio MEH. You can easily out-kite him. His heal is annoying when crystal/roam, but you can melt his face off. Make sure you grab a reflex block for his ultimate.

 Krul Okay. Let me take this time to discuss my feelings toward Krul. People are always like " Oh my god Riley, Krul is so overpowered!". No. No he isn't. Personally I think he is the worst character in the game. At least Ozo can run. Now back to the point of this guide. Your Bonesaw is of top priority here. You can kill him pretty quick. Just stay out of his range.

 Celeste Everything I said with adagio. You can dodge all of her attacks and out-tank her. She has no life saving abilities. Just go for it when she is alone and kill her in three shots.

 Lyra She has no armor in the first place. Be wary of his B, but other than that, just basic attack her and she'll just die.

 Ardan Ardan. Ardan, Ardan, Ardan. He is so annoying. When you try to out-kite his jungler, BOOM! Vanguard. When your ultimate is about to come down on his ally, BOOM! Vanguard, ally gets away.He is my least favorite character to play against in the game. The only reason he is in the lower side of the rankings is because he can't do anything alone.

 Ozo Ozo is basically fast Krul. He is a bit more of a problem because of his insane lifesteal, but his abilities take forever, and you don't see many Ozos anyway. Ozo is kind of a dead character.

 Reim Out-kite him. That's basically it. The most important thing to do is to jump out of his ultimate slow.

 Vox Vox is a awesome character. You can still kill him in three seconds though. Stay away from your allies if he's crystal and they have resonance. .

 Baron I have faith that you'll win!

 Flicker The slow is pretty annoying, but he's basically useless. Just destroy him. Jump Jet out of his slow. Avoid his roots. Only deadly when paired with CP Fortress/Taka/Rona/Koshka.

 Phinn Phinn is the most interesting character in the game. He is completely unique. He is so slow though, all of your attacks will land. Beware his C ability though because if paired with a crazy damage dealer like Glaive, it can be killer.

 Samuel Meh. He is super low on defense and you can kill him with 4 hits when you have core items. By himself he is super weak, but add a Petal or Glaive and slow you, it spells death. Porcupine mortars are super helpful, because he is so evasive.

 Alpha She can be scary because of her ability to outlast you. Let your captain immobilize her (Stun, Silence etc). Then you can attack. You can kill her really quick when she is rebooting and jump jet out of her ult.

 Fortress Roam Fortress is just stupid. Watch him die in three seconds. Crystal on the other hand, when paired with Flicker/Ardan/Catherine can be devastating. Just kill as fast as possible. Your weapon splash will kill his wolves.

 Gwen Weapon Gwen: Just get a Metal Jacket. She won't get much defence and you can just damage her more. Crystal: Jump out of her ultimate/reflex block it. Reflex block the slow.

 Joule Dodge the stun. Attack her from behind. You can pierce through her armor, but her stun will let the carry get to you.

 Skaarf Get an aegis, and then slow and attack. Skaarf is pretty simple to deal with. I'm hoping he'll get a buff soon as he kinda needs one.

 Catherine She is the best captain in the game. Her shield prevents her from taking any damage whatsoever and her stun will cancel all of your abilities. How to successfully take down a Catherine: Step 1: Kill all allies. Step 2: Wait for shield to be down. Step 3: Slow with porcupine mortar Step 4: Deal as much damage as fast as you can. Congrats. You have successfully killed a Catherine.

 Kestrel Out-kite her, and get flares. Reflex block can be helpful if you need to cross her mist. Make sure she doesn't have time to disappear.

 Koshka SQUIRREL!!!!!! Slow her and put your captain in between you. She should always be your first target.

 Skye You can beat her in every possible way. She's just so evasive! Run out of her abilities, and basic attack in between. Slows are helpful too.

 Glaive Stay out of his range. A good Glaive is unbeatable. Lucky for you there are not many. Kite him and Jump Jet when you are to close.

 Lance Lance is a great Captain. His best strengh would be his B. It is so annoying. He will close gaps and destroy you if you let yourself get rooted. His Combat Roll is annoying because it has low cooldown, and will help him dodge your A and C. Try to kill his allies quick enough so that he doesn't have time to do anything.

 Ringo Ringo is a tough one. When he goes weapon your best hope is for a carry to stun/silence him so you can get close without dying. If crystal he's pretty weak and you can just take him out. The slow is something you need to jump out of though.

 Rona Rona is amazing at closing gaps. As with Krul, you need to get your Bonesaw ASAP. Jump jet will be your lifesaver.

 SAW Kite him your best, but this is a weak spot. He out-ranges you, but you can decimate him with the help of a Captain.

 Blackfeather GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! The barriers he gets, much like Reim, are unstoppable. In this deck you try to catch your enemy off guard and shoot them like crazy. Blackfeather is super evasive and can out sustain you. It is impossible to kill him with your surprise technique, because of his barriers. What you have to do here is very much like what you do with Alpha. Wait until he has been stunned and then attack. Important: Never face alone

 Idris His damage is more than yours and he can't be kited. He is incredibly evasive and you will have a tough time landing your A ability. Try your best to basic attack him when he's close enough. Dodge his B ability.

 Petal My FAVORITE CHARACTER is unbeatable. Try to drive her away with porcupine mortars or even your ultimate. Don't let it get to the point where you have to run, because she is insanely mobile and has slows.

 Taka GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Taka is, and has always been OP. He has like, three counters (Ardan, Gwen,Catherine) and yet he is unbeatable! Place the Porcupine Mortars on top of yourself and try to kill him as soon as possible.

Introuduction Top

Thank you to those who suffered through my threat list. It is appreciated. I've played Vainglory very often for 3 years (I think). I started when Taka was released ( You know, when Petal was a healer) and never stopped.I am Credible Threat silver. I just started playing Ranked last week. I don't have a Guild or Team. My username is BrambleClaw624. I am good at most characters. Here are the ones I have trouble with:

Krul- I think he's useless. This concludes my section about Krul.

Ozo- Fast Krul.

Ardan/Phinn- Not my play style. Very good characters though.

Early Lane Mechanics Top

For Farming in general, you need to play safe. Stay on your side of the lane and last hit when the bars turn...Orange? I think? Yeah, probably orange. Send Porcupine Mortars at your enemy to disrupt their farming. Especially Ringo. Ringo is very dependent in early game on last hits, and his perk. That is your way to disrupt him. Carry flares so that the enemy Jungler can't sneak up on you.

Mid Game: Team fights and Objectives. Top

For Team fights, let your Captain provoke them. Stay at the edge of battle and porcupine mortar in two places. On top of your enemy, and where you don't want them to go. This forces them in a direction you want them to go. Basic attack the enemy carry when you are close enough. If the enemy Jungler gets their hands on you, Jump Jet over a wall. This will give you a few seconds to kite them.

Gold Mine: tell your jungler/captain to take this when your enemies are all in the lane. Always take after an ace. That's basically it. Turrets are important to take too. After an ace, or when all of your ememies are in the jungle.

Late game. Top

Just nuke your ememies. Your abilities will do no damage and are now primarily slows.

Kraken- You, in late game, can solo-kraken. You deal MASSIVE damage when you have breaking point stacks.

Choke point- The third turret. Take when you can. This is normally what decides who wins.

Just nuke your enemies.

Characters that do well with Baron Top

Koshka- Koshka covers most of Baron's weak spots. She is super strong in early game.

Catherine- The team silence/stun is helpful to keep your enemies at distance.

Ardan- To help you kite
