Summary Top
This spec is meant to be played for team support in a variety of flavors, but primarily in front of your teammates leading the charge on turrets, stun ganking and intending in being the target to keep your allies up longest.
Strategy Top
Tank Jungle for your jungler at start until you get your "First Back" items, then switch to lane. Boots for mobility to guarantee you're leading the charge while being able to outrun the enemy(especially with use of her abilities) and battery so you can use stun on cool down. Hold off from using deflect unless you're running strictly to conserve energy if you're in frequent pvp, and never waste your stun's cooldown on pve(unless maybe peeling a boss mob and the enemy is aced). Wait in lane bushes for enemy and protect/stunpeel for your laner while they wipe out enemy minions.
Why HP? Top
Because Catherine has some of the most(if not the most) base armor/shield stats. This armor/shield will make the HP have much increased value.
Why no Reflex/Crucible? Top
If you build this right and make the money right, you'll almost always be defensively ahead of your opponents that early level stuns won't be anything to fret about, and in late game you're the one that your team is hoping they'll waste their stuns on so they can burn them down. Also, why don't you just pop deflect while they waste their time on you? K.
