My Experiences with Skye! Top
I have only played a few games with Skye, but here is my take on her:
Skye's A,
Forward Barrage, is your main source of damage on both Red and Blue Skye. Be sure to max out that ability first.
Skye's B,
Suri Strike, is kind of a wild card. It provides a good source of damage, but on Blue Skye, it doesn't trump
Forward Barrage, and in Red Skye, I would advise you to use it situationally to dodge abilities or kite.
Skye's Ultimate,
Death From Above is similar to Adagio's
Verse of Judgement in that they both deal AOE stones and damage. However, with Skye, you have to learn the different ways of targeting with this ability and how they travel.
General Strategy Top
- I recommend buying boots first for the added chasing and fleeing ability for both early invades and Lane match ups
- Never play aggressively against a (good) Ringo
- Your focus in lane should almost always be farming. Skye takes a lot of gold to pull off well
- Red Skye peaks at around level 8, Blue Skye peaks at around level 11
- Use Suri Strike to either initiate, disengage, or chase. I personally prefer to start teamfights with Suri Strike, so you can activate it again at the end of a teamfights
- I prefer Blue Skye, but if I have a Blue jungler, I will play Red Skye, and vice versa
Common Mistakes Top
As you probably know, Skye's skill cap is
very high, so in this chapter I'll keep track of the mistakes that other players (and me) make when playing Skye
- When Forward Barraging backwards (kiting), be sure not to aim the fire in the wrong direction and be useless for 4 seconds
- Don't be fooled by Skye's basic attack animation, her attack speed is very low
