Threat Hero Notes
0
Lyra She can be super annoying. Her B disable your main burst of damage. She can teleport out of sticky situation with her C. Her A can help her and her teammates get back some health and speed boost. Target her 2nd because she isn't that tanky (unless she is not dealing massive damage with her basic attack)
0
Krul If he surprise you with his deadman rush just go invisible or x-retsu and kaiten then kaku. If a krul comes out of a brush without a sword in his back, reflex block or kaiten over him to avoid the ridiculously long stun and a slow (Really game!! 2 combos with just 1 ability). If he has a lot f weakness stack, go invisible and watch that stack faded
1
Baron His slow movement speed will make him an easy target for taka. dodge his A and his and you should get a kill
2
Ringo Ringo isn't a threat if he is ahead of you and is able to lots of weapon/crystal damage. Because he has low health. You can just wipe his face of the battle in seconds. Build defense item against him if he is doing too much damge. Gank him early games so he won't be as strong
2
Ardan His Vanguard is annoying, reflex block his Gauntlet and you should be fine
2
Phinn Phinn's ability is too slow for you. Just block his pull and you should be fine
3
  No Threat
4
SAW x-restu and kaiten and he would be dead without even knowing what hit him.
4
Samuel A good Samuel player can reveal you of your B with his A. If he uses his C, just reflex block and kill him
4
Vox He can use his B to reveal you. If he uses his A to get away, use your C to get closer to him and FINISH HIM
5
Lance Annoying root! His B can reveal you while you are invisible so watch out. ALWAYS target him last on team fight
5
Skye She is not really a threat because you can always use your C to get close to her and your A so she misses her A
5
Flicker He can be super annoying when he surprise you. Try to get out of his B (That is what most player do when they surprise their enemies) and turn invisible before his teammates catch up to you
5
Fortress His C cab reveal your position. If he is the captain, ignore most of the time. If he go cp, watch for his B because will reduce the healing of your B.
5
Ozo If he goes cp, watch out for his third acrobounce early game because that can deal a lot of damage. Blocking his ult isn't that hard because there will be a monkey sign telling you that he is coming.
6
Taka This build can never guarantee a win so be carful when you engage a taka. Buy some flare so you can reveal him when he is invisible
6
Catherine Reflex her A and C. NEVER use your ability when her shield is up
6
Joule Her stun can mark the end for Taka if she managed to hit it. If she is going cp, predict when she is going to use her ult and dodge it or you are going to become ashes
6
Blackfeather If BF is going wp, he can heal as long as he can see you, so go invisible right after you use your x-restu/kaiten. IF he is going cp he can pock you with his B and get close to you with his C.
6
Skaarf Dodger his A and watch for his B if you step on it. It can deal massive damage if you don't build and defense. Get behind him with when he is using his ult with your ult, kaiten, and then kaku. He will have a hard time aiming at at the right direction.
6
Rona She can your worst nightmare or you will be your worst nightmare. If she got the upper hand. Watch out for that damage. Finish your combo and immediately use kaku so she can't attack you. Buy Atlas to counter her
6
Idris If he goes wp, he can deal massive damage of he can see you. he can also use his c to het into you while you are using your b (look like you are grab into nothing). If he goes cp, his b can almost kill you if you don't build defense.
7
Reim 2nd 1 v 1 duelist (Krul is the best in my opinion) his fortified head can tank through your burst damage. Wait for his fortified health to disappear and then attack him full force so he won't become a threat
7
Alpha She can be very powerful and scary if she build cp. She could use her A to reveal you when you are invisible. Her ult can be a nuclear bomb if she build cp
7
Kestrel Kestrel can be dangerous both wp and cp. If she is going cp, she can be invisible forever and can surprise you with her glimmershot. NEVER EVER step in the mist.
7
Adagio His heal can be annoying but can be prevent with your ult with reduce healing. If he is a roamer, do what you usually do with other roamer (ignore them if you are new). reflex block his ult of quickly get out of the radius. If he is not a roamer, target him first because he will deal massive amount damage no matter he goes cp or wp
8
Gwen Annoying slow! She can reveal out of your B with her A. Run in different direction so she will have a had time aiming her C
9
Glaive Glaive is a pain in the butt! His damage and crit. dmg is too much for you to handle. He can wipe you out in second! A good Glaive player (especially in ranked matches) can use his A to reveal you when you are invisible. reflex block or kaiten over him and run away if you finish dealing your damage and waiting for your cooldown. Target him first in teamfights
9
Petal She is a nightmare for every taka player. Her minions will follow you even when you are invisible. Avoid 1 v 1 with her at all cost, unless she has low health and you now you can finish her by a x-restu or kaiten
9
Koshka She is super dangerous early games and also late game. AVOID her late game. reflex block her ult or you could be dead
10
  No Threat

Intruduction Top

Hello, welcome to my taka guide! I've started playing VainGlory since around the time when Lance was released. I usually main cp Taka, wp Krul, and Lance. Since this is my first guide so I'm still a noob at coding and stuff. But without further ado, let's get into the guide.

I am a HUMAN! Top

I'm not a robot that can do everything perfectly from top to bottom. If you have any question about my guide, or you disagree with my guide (Which is fine, everyone has a different viewpoint). Feel free to leave a comment and I will try my best to reply to every single one of you guys =).

Abilities Top

First, let's talk about Taka abilities and perk and see what he can do

Every 5 seconds, Taka's next basic attack is replaced with a Mortal Strike. Mortal Strikes deal 40 (+30% weapon ratio) bonus damage and grant Taka a burst of move speed. Whenever Taka Mortal Strikes or uses an ability, he gains a stack of Ki, which speeds up his Mortal Strike timer by 0.9 secs and grants 20% cooldown speed. (5 Ki stacks max.)

This can make clearing the jungle faster because of the movement speed that the heroic perk gives you can make you move from one jungle monster to the other faster. You could have more time to go up into the lane to help your laner or kill their laner. House Kamuha pair well with Aftershock because after you land you Kaiten or x-restu your basic attack will be very strong.

Kaiten
Slot: A

Taka flips over his target, cutting it with his switchblade. Taka is invulnerable to damage and negative effects while in mid-air.

This basically is your Reflex Block because you are immune to negative effect (e.x. like silence, stun, or root). This could be used when you are waiting for the enemy to go into the bush, after that pair up with X-Retsu and your enemy could be dead or almost dead.

Kaku
Slot: B

Taka throws a smoke bomb at his feet and becomes invisible while gaining increased movement speed.
  • Invisibility ends early if he strikes a target or takes direct damage.
  • Turrets, Scout Traps and Flare Guns can still see Taka while he is invisible.

This ability is your escape ability and also your healer. If you are the only one left on the team and you're are trying to prevent the ace. Use this ability to run away and prevent that ace. If you are playing rank matches then go to the side or the opposite direction because the enemy team might throw a Flare in the front of them.

X-Retsu
Slot: C

Taka bursts through his target for massive damage and gains Ki Stacks. The target suffers a mortal wound (reduced healing) and takes damage per second for the next 3s. The wound's duration is refreshed whenever Taka Mortal Strikes this target.

This is your main source of burst damage and gap closer. I recommend using this at the start of the fight so you will gain some kind of advantage in health. The enemy would be at half life after your X-Retsu.

Item Explanation Top

Very straight forward item, it gives you pure 15o cp for more burst damage
Also a very straight foward item, it help you counter Aegis
Aftershock help you empower your basic attack after you use 1 of your ability. Can be useful for clearing out the jungle's monsters
Stormcrown help you clear the jungle more quickly and reduce your cooldown so you can use your ability more frequently.
Aegis help you counter Cp heroes. It could also block the stun if your Kaiten is on cooldown
This give you some energy so you won't have to waste your Void Battery. It also give some health and cooldown so you won't get killed by those stupid jungle monster (actually happen to me 3 or 4 times when I was new to the game :( )
This item help you counter heroes that rely heavily on attack spees (e.x. Krul, Rona, Ringo, and SAW
This give you energy and grant you some life steal if you want to heal your health while fighting without using Kaku

Pro and Con of Cp Taka Top

Pros
- Huge burst damage
- low cooldown
- Get in and out tactic
Cons
- Rely heavily on ability
- Can be countered by Slumbering Husk
- basic attack is very very weak
- can't fight tanky enemies like Phinn, Lance, and Catherine

Early Game ( Start - 7 min) Top

At the start of the match, buy a Crystal Bit, a Energy Battery, and a Halcyon Potion to help you survive the jungle. Then go to the elder treant, hope that your captain had bought Flare to see where the enemy team is. If the enemy team is not there, you could go and get that elder treant. If the enemy team come and try to steal that. Back off and try to get the last-hit. Don't let them get the first blood or they will have a huge advantage in gold. After that, clear the jungle and sometimes go up to the lane to get a kill. After 4 min, go to the jungle shop and grab a Hourglass, a Stormguard Banner (if you have the money) or a Oakheart, and probably a Sprint Boots. If you have spare gold, you could upgrade you Crystal Bit into a Eclipse Prism. Do some more jungle lap and grab some T1 defensive item to help to survive when team fights break out. Avoid team fights if at least until you get to level 6

Mid Game (7 min - 15 min) Top

By now you should finish Aftershock (that is what I usually do) or whatever T3 item you are building. You should also at level 6 and unlock X-Retsu by now. You should also start to build Broken Myth if the enemy is starting to build shield to counter you, if not you could work your way to the Shatterglass. If you still feel that you are too squishy, upgrade your T1 item to T2.

Late game (15 min - End) Top

By now you should finish all the core, if you have done that then you can be an unstoppable assassin. You should also start to finish your defensive item. Buy atlas paudron against high attack speed hero or a metaljacket if they don't build attack speed. But you always need to travel with your team to prevent from being ambush. Let your captain check the brush first before beginning a team fight Buy Crystal Infusion whenever you can to empower your ability. When in a team fight. target the carry -> warrior/assassin -> Roamer.

Some Taka combos Top

Halcyon Chargers -> Kaiten -> X-Retsu -> Kaku
X-Retsu -> Kaiten -> Kaku (most used combo for Taka)
Pretend running away (When low health) -> X-Retsu -> Kaiten -> Kaku
Kaku -> X-Retsu -> Kaiten -> Halcyon Chargers

Taka's Buddies (Captain) Top

Here are some heroes that can work well with Taka

Vanguard|Gautlet|Tanky
text here

Ardan pair extremely well with Taka. He can make Taka become stickier to heroes with his Vanguard. If the enemy try to run away from Taka, he can drop his Gauntlet to trap the enemy in there so Taka can finish them off

Mobility|Lockdown|Tanky
text here

Lance can help Taka get out of sticky situation by stunning the enemy team or pushing them back with his Gythian Wall. His Impale can also help root the enemy so Taka can catch up ( Taka won't
probably need it because he can always use his Kaku or X-Retsu to catch up to his enemy

Lockdown|Silence|Extremly Tanky
text here

Using Merciless Pursuit, Catherine can lock down an enemy for Taka to kill. Blast Tremor can silence the enemy so they can't use their boots to run to the safety of their Crystal Sentry of their turret. Stormguard can make her almost invincible, so she can stay in the fight longer to help her teammates (including Taka)

Heal|Bright Bulwark|Teleporting
text here

Her Imperial Sigil can be helpful when you are not fighting. When you are in a team fight, you usually move around a lot so Imperial Sigil won't be that helpful. Bright Bulwark can help you get out of some devastation ability that could spell death for Taka, like Afterburn, Pouncy Fun, Yummy Catnip Frenzy, ...

Scout|Stealth|Slow
text here

Flicker Fairy Dust can slow the enemy and can be used both offensive and defensive. Offensive so Taka and his teammates can catch up. Defensive so Taka] and his teammates can run away leaving Flicker died like a hero. His stealth can help him scout ahead for danger. Team stealth can help Taka surprise the enemy and use Kaku afterwards.

Crowd Control|Tanky|Fortified Health
text here

Having a Phinn can make Taka become more tanky with his Polite Company. His Forced Accord can pull the enemy back if they attempt to run away unless they Reflex Block it). Quibble can also stun the enemy team and Taka's team can go ham when they are being stunned. But Phinn is SUPER slow, the total opposite of Taka, so you will have to wait many time for him to catch up.

Heal|Stun|Teleporting
text here

His heal is not as good as Lyra heal. He does have a good stun but in higher tier matches, they will just block it. If he heals you while you are invisible, he will also reveal where your location.

Woof|Speed boost|Wound
text here

Fortress is good for only early heroes (Not really Taka). His wound can be great that combo with your ULT, bit other than that nothing else really benefit Taka

Taka's Buddies (Carry) Top

Reveal|A Girl|Quick
text here

Using Buckshot Bonanza, Gwen could scout ahead and reveal enemies so Taka don't have to waste time using Kaku to check the bush every single time. Aces High can also become useful because of the stun and (if lucky) can stun enemies out from their stealth.
