Introduction Top
Hi, this is CyfinX, and today we’ll be looking at Skye, a mobile carry cable of dealing massive damage while dodging incoming attacks. Ever since the release of Vainglory, Skye has always been a top pick by many professionals because of its high versatility for adapting in varying circumstances. She is an extremely mobile character that can kite, dive, and bait enemies into tide turning battles.
Why Weapon Power? Top
When Vainglory was first released, Skye was intended to be crystal powered. I was one of the first to create a weapon build especially to retaliate enemy assassins who can avoid my forward barrage. Relying your damage output on forward barrage would prevent you from prioritizing targets, which is crucial in any competitive gaming. Any decent captain can body-block your barrage, minions would obstruct you from hitting targets, and congested areas would severely put you at a disadvantage. This WP build has so much damage and attack speed that except for early-mid game, basic attacking would be your main offensive powerhouse. Forward barrage would be a situational ability for slowing enemies, kiting, and poking/reaching.
How the items make a good combination Top
These items add a total of (120+50+70+30=270)weapon power on top of your base damage(111), dealing 381 damage per shot. Breaking Point would provide an increase of another 175 damage, giving you a total of 556 at full stack. And you would be attacking at a rate of (136.3(base)+20+30=186.3%).
At 15% life-steal, you would be healing yourself at around 40hp per shot, and the first 800 points of 40% life-steal can get you 320 health back in seconds. Your healing flask would be very important as it can keep you alive long enough to deal damage. As long as your captain is supporting you properly, you would find yourself very survivable.
Playing your Role Top
As a carry, you have to always keep in mind that you are very squishy. Even though this is "1v3 Skye", unless you are at a significant gold and item advantage over the enemies, you should still stick with your teammates. The best combination is when you have teammates that can disable enemies, allowing you to land your ultimate for a double stun, while dealing massive damage at a very short window. I find it very challenging when teammates at solo-queue are not cooperating well. In that case, remember not to be too aggressive and instead use your teammates as bait.
