Early Game Top
In the recent update, jungle clashes just got very often. Because of the stronger, more aggressive Treeant. So, I advise you to direct all your team mates to the jungle. Let alone the lane, even there's an enemy laner (they'll come down, trust me!). Hide in the bush, get as much vision on the Treeant. Let your team mates farm. You have two options by then, engage first (with the risk of enemy last hitting) or you could take the option of last hitting the Treeant, if the enemy is already taking the Treeant.
So why much emphasis on the Treeant?
TEAMFIGHTS! Let's get back on the builds. That's where the Protector Contract comes in. Which could help you all the way throughtout the whole early game. Upgrading first you B ability also helps. With this build, you and your team mates can aggro the enemy team or just plain protection for your team. Get as much farm for your team jungler, if your team jungler is strong early games, you can take the enemy jungle.
Mid-game Top
This where your Captain instinct should come! Build Fountain of Life first. And overdrive your A ability first. Stand in front of your team mates. You're the one who initiate. With the help of your Ultimate, pull the enemy laner. Get as much damage on the turret.
For the jungle, lay as many Scout Traps, especially on the Gold Miner. You could help the jungler to invade jungle, but be cautious.
In mid games, just remember to get as many turrets down, get as many Gold Miners as you can,let your jungler farm, overdrive your A ability (but in level 6, upgrade your ultimate), and build team wide items.
Stand in front (but don't let yourself die!)
Late Game Top
For any situations (if your team is low on farm or losing) you and your team mates should always be together. Your team should'ntbe Aced at this point, especially when the Kraken has awakened.
When in team fights, stun enemy ultimate, use your B more often (that's why I included the Clockwork). When an enemy is alone, pull 'em up and kill. Then, find his/her team mate. For late game, it's all about staying close together, fortifying team mates and Acing the enemy team!
When using Phinn you should use your protective and predictive skills. When and where will you land your skills.
