Threat Hero Notes
1
Adagio Adagio is very easy to play with. Unless you see him build into massive-damage crystals, he should be quite harmless. If you intend to take him, have heavy-damage builds because Koshka doesn't do massive damage without a Sorrowblade or Tension Bow or something of the sort.
1
Ardan Ardan has the potential to do massive damage, but only with the help of allies. But that doesn't mean you can take him down when 1v1. Kite and get some damage in, but he has Vanguard to keep his health up. His ultimate is dangerous is team fights, so stay in the bushes and wait to strike at the right time instead of barging in and getting stunned
1
Celeste Celeste isn't a damage dealer either. Kite around her and predict where she will land her Heliogenesis or Core Collapse. Predicting and kiting will keep you safe, but taking down any enemy 1v1 is usually a bad idea
2
Ringo Ringo is a walk in the park. This hero is very fragile and does not do much damage. If you see Ringo build into heavy-damage items, avoid him. His ultimate, Hellfire Brew, does serious damage and it's burn also brings down your health, so unless you're equipped, approach Ringo with an ally or ambush him with your ultimate stun.
3
  No Threat
4
  No Threat
5
Skaarf Skaarf is a formidable foe. It can burn you, so when fighting, kiting should make it hard to burn you. The only possible problem is it's ultimate, the dragonbreath. Though it can change which enemy to attack, don't stay in focus of Skaarf. Basically, prediction and kiting is all there is to it.
5
SAW Saw is a heavy-damage dealer, like Glaive, and likes to stay back in most team fights. DO NOT try to attack him. As koshka is very squishy, only assist your allies who can take heavy damage. Otherwise, mobility or not, do not consider taking down Saw without a nearby ally or escape plan.
6
  No Threat
7
Vox Vox isn't extremely dangerous, but watch out for his [[Pulse]] and [[Sonic Zoom]] as they can do bursts of damage. Strategy: kite and strike when the iron is hot!
8
Joule Joule is a tough enemy for Koshka, but not as threatening because she can be taken down. Kiting is often effective on inflicting damage while staying out of her focus. Meaning, don't take on her 1v1 unless you are 100% sure you can take some serious beating.
8
Catherine Catherine is also a formidable opponent, mostly because it's hard to get close to her. Her bubble can give some damage, but you can survive it. Only try to take her when 1. 1v1 and 2. You can stun her and 3. You are with an ally
9
Koshka If you're up against another Koshka, keep these things in mind. 1) An escape plan, 2) Kiting/ feinting.
10
Glaive When played right, Glaive does massive damage. When playing Koshka, avoid going 1v1 unless you have backup/ defense
10
Krul Krul is very, very dangerous for numerous reasons. This hero will have no problem 1. invading your jungle and 2. winning most 1v1 fights, IF played well. If you see Krul in bushes, RUN and fight him only if you're with a heavy-damage ally.
10
Taka Speed and Vision. Two things Taka has advantage over you. Taka is usually weaker early on, but when fighting late in the match, don't fight him unless you can inflict a short burst of heavy damage.

Item builds Top

I wanted to be more specific about the items and choice. I believe the best starting items are Ironguard Contract, a couple Halcyon Potion and a Scout Trap. I believe having an Ironguard early on is better because you get gold even without last hit (not that Koshka should have problems with clearing jungle minions fast. In the ideal situation that you are the only jungler, start with the minions furthest and kill towards the base. If you do have a jungler with you, split your jungle in half (One health minion and two experience minions), or partner up and take out some minions from the enemy jungle.

Keep in mind, from the start, you should focus on either damage or defense. If you're going for damage, Get your Aftershock as soon as possible. After that, to bring variety into your build, start a build for a Sorrowblade. Why I personally prefer this weapon is because it does just what I need it to do: Massive damage. Koshka isn't the most durable hero, and often is prey to heroes. Striking hard on enemies and then getting away asap is what Koshka is built for. Since Koshka is also squishy, make sure you have some sort of defense, such as Crudible, Fountain of Renewal, Aegis, Atlas Pauldron or Metal Jacket. In my experience, the Atlas Pauldron or Metal Jacket haven't really helped me out, but you're welcome to try if you see a weapon build in the scoreboard.

Lastly, near the end, your build should be near completion, if not complete. Aftershock, Sorrowblade, Crudible, Atlas Pauldron and Journey Boots should be in your build by now. Instead of the Atlas Pauldron, you can get another weapon or crystal item. If that's the case, I would recommend something like an Eve of Harvest or a Piercing Shard. For extra weapon builds, you could get a Barbed Needle, Piercing Spear, or a Tension Bow.

At the end, what really matters to me is staying alive and landing massive damage. Since Koshka isn't the strongest or most durable hero, you will need to make a build that will land strong blows when it matters.

Strategy Top

As for strategy, I've had to switch a couple of times before I could really survive and help out my team. This is a very brief outline of what you could do in different situations.

1. Jungle and Farming
I've never been able to successfully predict if I can manage a team fight by just fighting minions in the jungle. So, if you've played with Koshka and you're comfortable with her, try challenging enemy jungle territory and take out their minions. If you plan on taking out enemy jungle minions, keep these things in mind: Know enemy location. If you killed a jungle hero, don't get greedy and try to take all the enemy minions out. As tempting as it might seem, keep in mind the remaining two enemies could take you out, so when you kill the enemy, get out fast. Second, keep your deaths, kills and assists in mind. Koshka isn't the strongest hero, and so assists would be a good idea. If you do bump into a hero, use everything you can, from scout traps to pinging your aliies to help you out (though that might not work because they're probably laning or taking out more jungle camps). If you're close to killing the enemy hero but they take cover with their turret, don't go for the kill unless 1. you can take them out in one hit and 2. there is no nearby enemy hero.
