Koshka's Abilities Top
Bloodrush
Bloodrush is an interesting perk. It shows Koshka very well: Mixing in basic attacks with abilities, while still dealing most attack with abilities. It also shows how extremely movement based Koshka is, even as a tank she is still an assassin. Just a tanky one. Keep this in mind. The movement bonus is also quite significant, this combined with
Pouncy Fun completely eliminates the possibility of getting kited. There's a lot to be had from her perk alone.
Pouncy Fun
This is not to be used just for damage. There is a lot of potential damage, but with this damage comes the requirement of taking this overdrive. This ability is great for damage. However, this is best used for this build for mobility and initiation. It can also be used for
Aftershock procs if needed, but this should be done only to secure a kill.
Twirly Death
This is one of your primary damage sources. Your empowered attack can completely melt if used properly. However, it can be difficult acquiring and maintaining stacks, so I'll have a section on that later. But combined with
Aftershock, your basic attacks will completely melt opponents. Also, keep in mind this is your only AoE attack.
Yummy Catnip Frenzy
Yummy Catnip Frenzy is really something to consider. You cannot use it on something like the Gold Miner or Kracken, but this is actually pretty nice. You don't want to be fighting for Kracken and then find out you wasted your stun. Also, remember: This is the longest stun in the game. Make use of that. Reserve this stun for dangerous abilities like
Adagio's
Verse of Judgement and
Skaarf's
Dragon Breath when they have one. Otherwise, just plain use it for disruption. It's not an insignificant amount of damage either. But it's typically best used for the stun. This is why you take the third rank, for the cooldown.
A Few Points to Know Top
There are a few things to remember as Koshka. First, you are utterly unstoppable early game. Abuse this to no avail. Go for their backs, gank often, just make as much use of this as you can. By about the 10 minute mark, things drop a bit and you need to rely on survivability. Be more wary here.
Another thing is, you are very tanky, but not the tank god. You cannot take too much, and you can still die. You are tankier than your average hero, but not be obscene amounts.
It may help with certain counter builds to have a history with supports. But, remember, you are your own source of damage, you can support but you aren't exclusively that.
Keep these things in mind, they are very important.
Core Items Top
There are only two core items on this list, because the rest are simply just for tank.
Sprint, Travel, and Journey Boots
Boots are super important with
Koshka, as she relies a lot on her basic running speed. Unlike
Taka,
Koshka does not have a slipperiness tool like
Kaku. Her closest alternative would be to
Pouncy Fun a nearby jungle camp and continue to run. So, boots are great to boost your mobility.
Koshka is EXTREMELY mobility based (just look at her perk,
Bloodrush).
Aftershock
Aftershock is your bread and butter as
Koshka. It gives you cool down acceleration (enhances your
Bloodrush), check. Increases your crystal damage, check. Gives you some energy sustainability, check. Seriously, Aftershock just seems custom tailored to Koshka. And this is one of your primary damage source as well, as it doesn't need CP dedication to use for massive damage. Try and maximize your Aftershock procs, and don't waste this amazing tool.
Knowing How to Counterbuild Top
Broken Myth
Broken Myth is good if your opponents go heavy shielding on you. It's a good way to recover damage, and keep in mind you WILL be surviving in team fights, so it's a great way to get damage. It builds though, so when playing with it, try not to spam abilities at first, just get your stacks. Overall, just get it when you're in need of damage.
Shiversteel
Shiversteel is good if your opponents keep slipping away. You're a ******* Koshka, you need to outrun your opponents. Combo this with
Pouncy Fun for an attack they can't escape.
Atlas Pauldron
Atlas Pauldron is if they go heavy attack speed. It's an ideal counter to enemies like
SAW and
Ringo. You can use it right after a
Pouncy Fun for a great initiation combo. Also get it if the crystal carry has an
Alternating Current. If they have, like, an
Alternating Current carry and a
Ringo, consider getting two. It shuts down both their carries, so it can be totally worth it.
Fountain of Renewal
Get
Fountain of Renewal if one of your carries can't survive team fights. It's also good if you need help sustaining yourself between fights, or if you need a bit more shield. This mat=y take some practice knowing when to pop it, though.
Crucible
Get
Crucible if your support is absolute **** and won't even get one for your team. It's also good if your opponents have multiple deserving ults, like if they have a roam
Adagio with his
Verse of Judgement and a
Ringo with his
Hellfire Brew.
Choose the two most important items to get for the game, and go for it.
Your Damage Source Top
Many players of
Koshka don't know how to get and maintain stacks of their
Twirly Death, so here's my advice on this.
• When going to lane to gank, stick around to
Twirly Death in a minion wave. You can get 5-6 stacks just from this, and the stacks do a lot of damage. And now that SEMC fixed her empowered attack speed, this is actually viable again.
• When not ganking, use them to deal killing blows to jungle monsters so you don't consume the stack right after.
• Try to basic attack minimally and not waste stacks. With jungle camps, you can generally not waste stacks by using every attack with an
Aftershock proc.
Remember, this build specializes in this and
Aftershock as a primary damage source. This means you want to use these as best you can.
