Alright tension bow is Nerf. Would now recommended not to build it.
Kensei now can abuse items that grants on hit effects . In my opinion
Bonesaw is way to go.
2 reason
1.Provide good stat with kensei overall ,the attack speed ,wp.Hit harder and faster = stronger and more barrier
2. Synergies your passive perfectly,it helps you to kill tank faster.It is quite good and weird
Building Pure high weapon power like
Sorrowblade and
Serpent Mask provide strong barrier on
Immovable Mind .
While items grants attack speed proc
Immovable Mind barrier more faster.
I use to say crit is not viable. I underestimated the power it provides.
Tyrant's Monocle best crit item to buy due the the stat is very strong and synergies perfectly with kensei . It Makes him deal more damage.

You can use your empowered attack by adding it to dps combo or at any time you fighting.
Tips and tricks Top
1.Escaping Roots
You escape roots or snared by simply tapping
Kensho on enemy.Very useful when getting caught by the jungle monster, the one that root you.

Kensho is your Basic range
•Hence must be in Range

•If you are not certain what to empower consider taking advantage of your
Kensho stance

•Imagine you walk towards an enemy that is walking really slow ,activating
Kensho sent a instant basic attack propel kensei backwards.
•Then you walk Bypass your target and activated
Kensho. You notice that kensei leap backwards but actually propelling foward direction away from target
•Therefore use this as a gapcloser to nearby minons to close to target and decide what empowered you wanna land to enemy
•Not only that by exploring certain angle you will understand where his ganna back off. Practicing and mastering his
Kensho is important in order to set plays as a
Kensei player.

Kensei perfom a short dash and slash his blade in a cone or an arc or that clean blade chop thingy .
•you don't have to make sure landing
Lotus Strike cone slash directly to enemy .He can instantly deal damages once activated
Lotus Strike.
•THEREFORE dashing through your target still deal damages before
Kensei do the cone slash.
•This rule still applies to his empowered
Lotus Strike
•This combo I called **** move :
•Used
Kensho and get close to target as possible then use empowered
Lotus Strike to bypass the enemy at the same time dealing damage and applies a GOD damm slow without hitting that cone slash of
Lotus Strike.In summary you deal damages immediately no matter if you don't land the cone slash as long you are hitting and in range with enemies. Remember its instant damages. Use the combo earlier to flank or escaped. Note the combo you don't have to get close but the closer you are the farther you cover distance for your escape.
Laning phase Top
Straight foward, your basic is quite long for a melee hero in vainglory so it's a bit easy to farm. Poke with your basic attack especially against melee match-up .Whenever you get passive barrier, use this opportunity to trade such as start playing aggressive. Use your dps combo on enemy, you get at least receive two passive barrier then use B kensho safely escaped safely Preventing enemy from counter attack ,you can also use the stance to absorb some damage or if you have aim and enjoy freebies or to bait because your jungler or team are coming to help you (use empowered to overkill the buffet).You can whatever you want to do with kensei abilities. Be creative like use your
Kensho gapcloser trick to cover enemies escaped path and land a empowered attack or use two
Lotus Strike cast then

Lotus Strike empowerment either escaped or slow down enemies. It's your game so feel free to explore and play around with kensei laning phase nothing is wrong unless you are feeding. Best advice is to play smart, read your opponent don't mindlessly engaged.

Very crucial to land these attacks because it's a skill shot. Missing can be punishable.
Engage with empowered ult can be a strong peeling for you and your team.
Kensei can kill both front line and backline with ease.
You can flank enemies.
But beware that his late game is strong but he is not a God.
You need to be patient don't be greedy and timing is very important .
