Introduction Top
First of all, you need to be careful in early game. This is because Celeste is one of the squishiest heroes in this game. You need to try to make yourself in the back of team fights, so that the enemy doesn't lock down on you. Let your tank take hits not you.
Second of all, your build you must be able to adjust with items to give you the best chance against enemies.
For example, the starting item...if you have another teammate that you think is going to be in the lane. This is so you can get extra gold. (Especially when you have a Ringo on your team!!!!)
P.S.: This guide is made off a lot of trail and error. Eventually I was taking down turrets and have at least 12 kills and less than 5 deaths almost all the time I play with Celeste.
Motions and how you Move Top
You are playing a character that may be the easiest to kill so go in and out as you place your stars. Don't over extend (Go further towards the enemy side than needed.) unless your whole team is with you. One of the most important things to master Celeste is to know you are squishy and to move in and out around the lane while placing your Heliogenesis to poke the enemy heroes.
Defense Top
You should build at least one defense item, whether it is Crucible (just to get more health and that awesome reflex block), Atlas Pauldron (Block attack speed with the activate ability), Aegis (Block people with a lot of Crystal power), or even Metal Jacket (To Block people with a lot of Attack power).
Tier 1 and Tier 2 Items that Are Worth Noting Top
Something that is required for basically every Celeste is some kind of energy regeneration, whether it be a void battery or a Energy battery...By the 5 minute mark, you should at least have a Void battery and 2 more Tier 2 Items. I would suggest that these 2 Tier 2 Items be a Heavy Prism and an Eclipse Prism.. This is so that you can lead your build a Shatterglass or a Frostburn. (Read Next Chapter so that you can choose)
Items and Explanations- What tier three items do I want first? Top
Well, if you have some kind of surviving problems, I would suggest buying a Frostburn to slow enemies. This will make you harder to chase because your normal attacks deal crystal damage to your regular attacks. If you don't have any problems, then just go Shatterglass to give your enemies something more to think about!! Items to consider after your first tier three item is either another Shatterglass or an Eve Of Harvest. This is so you can steal some life from your enemies. Either way you want at least 1 Shatterglass and 1 Eve Of Harvest.
Early Game Top
You deal a pretty large damage with your Heliogenesis (A ability) and your basic attacks deal crystal damage, but you must note that you shouldn't go all in with you basic attacks because Celeste attacks really slow and she doesn't have that much range. Just go in and out of the lane with your Heliogenesis and farm up!!
Mid Game (4 Mins In To The Game) Top
Try to tell your teammates that you don't want the minion mine, because that will just provide the enemy team with extra gold. (Your lane minions are bigger, providing the enemy with more gold per lane minion.) As a jungler, you shouldn't take the minion mine right when it comes out, you should wait until you are at least level 9, so that you can push the lane and take down turrets. Always take turrets down as a team. Don't take a turret when you teammates aren't near you because high elo player will recognize this and kill you. Remember to try to set a mine near the gold mine for vision.
Late Game (15 Minutes In To The Game and Later) Top
You should have at least 1 Shatterglass and 1 Eve of Harvest already. In addition, you should have 1 defense item, since by now you know what most of your enemies are building. You should have vision over the Kraken because of the mine you set during the mid game. By now you are at least level 8 and have your overdrive on your A ability. With this ability, you can easily harass you enemies using your Heliogenesis. In team fights, you should be in the back. Also, you should follow the tank in your team. (Look In the Next Chapter For More On Team fights)
TEAM FIGHTS Top
This is by far a deciding factor in Vainglory. Winning team fights will probably guarantee you a win. After the 15 minute mark, your team should start heading in a group, picking off stray heroes. Remember that your tank is in the front leading the charge. This is so there is less of a chance of an enemy hero attacking you. (a DPS-the major damage dealer) You want the other team to lock down on the tank because your tank is harder to kill. In addition if you get picked off, then your teammates will be down the main source of damage. By the 20 minute mark, your build should have been all finished. In this time period, consider selling your boots and getting a Crystal Infusion and a Weapon Infusion so that you deal more damage. If you have to choose one, choose a Crystal Infusion. After activating the infusions get tier 1 or tier 2 boots. REMEMBER that in a team fight, your team locks the DPS down.
Things to note Top
Tanks is the person that can take the most hits on a team.
In the beginning, try to make a mental note of who is the major damage dealer.
Vision is key so try to remember to set a mine where the gold mine is.
Conclusion Top
This is a guide where I played Celeste over and over to get to know her. I have observed how ShinKaigen has played Celeste and I tried to make it better. Thank you for reading and comment if you think this guide is good or bad and add why. Please tell me if there are any typos. THX again for reading!!!
