Evil Joule Guide Top
Weapon Top
Description
Weapon Joule is extremely straight forward. Keep your stacks up and keep poking away. After you get
Frostburn you are free to roam around. You'll have the mana to keep your stacks up, and the slows will help ensure you have a target to hit if you engage an enemy. Don't worry about the loss of a slot for a weapon item. Joule's
Thunder Strike deals both weapon and crystal damage. That said any crystal items you buy will still be benefit her B quite nicely. That said, the items above are the most effective if you plan on attacking with her B primarily. In lane, she offers some of the best defense to her jungling teammates. Because
Rocket Leap can be used to jump over walls, she can very quickly be a part of any fight and may possibly have stacks on her B from laning. While she CAN jungle, she is extremely dependent upon getting her core items to be the most effective with her team. Unfortunately
Big Red Button is not going to shine in this build. The
Frostburn will help, but will not make this ability the best it can be. It's main goal in this build is for situational engagements or finishers. Over all, the main goal of weapon builds is to keep her
Thunder Strike stacks up as consistently as you can. Succeed at this and you will probably be the biggest threat
Basic Plan of Action
Initiating
Try and delay the fight until you can build some B stacks
Be threatening your opponent by hitting your opponent with B or things around you
Always jump passed someone who is running from you
Activating Atlas Pauldron after jumping around your enemies is great CC
Team Fights
Always try and stack your B off of whatever you can.
Using Big Red Button on melee heroes point blank makes it hard for them to hit you as you due to the push back
Pro Tip
Always target something before you cast Thunder Strike]]
Keeping at least one enemy minion between you and the enemy laner to ensure you don't lose B stacks
Delay your B's so you will always proc Frostburn
Crystal Top
Description
Crystal Joule is a bit harder to play than Weapon Joule, She is extremely hungry for gold. You lane her the same way but she can't leave the lane as freely as a weapon build. Unfortunately for this build,
Thunder Strike will not be as powerful as more weapon focused builds. However, once you hit level 6, you gain more control over the map and threaten space no other characters can.
Big Red Button can deal insane damage from insane distances. One good shot can force an opponent to back off giving you the opportunity to have freedom over the entire jungle. The reason for buying scout traps is to provide the most amount of vision while in lane. When you leave to buy your next item. Try and ward the Jungle Monsters, Gold Mine, or random spots you feel you'd like vision in. If you catch your opponents jungling or attempting to gold mine, fire your ult at it just as it has about 20% health remaining. With your expensive items you just bought from laning so hard, feel free to fire off your ult at wherever your find an enemy. If you can keep your ults going and stay away from the enemy. They should be forced to play more defensively and you will start taking control of the match.
Basic Plan of Action
Initiating
Try ulting as defensively as possible
Try and lead your fights into a team fight. 1v1 can be risky.
Team Fights
Time your ult with any stun
Try and fight in small spaces but stay on the perimeter
Jump in and try to take agro but immediately move towards the edge of the fight
Pro Tip
You can snipe Gold Mine and Kraken from lane with your ult
Use Rocket Leap to push back opponents and save teammates
The push-back from Joule's Rocket Leap will proc Frostburn
Scout Traps provide a small amount of vision around them (without being activated)
Use Scout Traps as spotters for your ult snipes
