Introduction Top
If you like to just kill an enemy or scratch them and run,
Taka should be perfect for you! He excels at weaving in and out of battles, dealing bursty damage and dissappear into thin air. But then only to reappear for another assassination.
Taka is like
Koshka but with invisibility skill replacing a stun skill.
Taka is quite fragile early game, and when
Catherine or any other heroes who is capable of stunning early game stuns you out of the blue while you're farming, its gonna be hard to come back. That is, unless you build defensive early, you should be fine.

Taka's Skill Set Top
Let's take a look at what this ninja is capable of before we use him to start killing people.
House Kamuha : Slot:
Heroic Perk
Taka's Critical Strikes have 30% lifesteal and grant a burst of speed. Every 5 seconds, Taka is guaranteed a critical strike. Taka gains 1 Ki stack when he performs an ability or critical strike (up to 5 stacks). Each stack of ki speeds up his guaranteed critical strikes 0.9 and grants 25% cooldown acceleration.
Kaiten: Slot:
A Energy Cost:
55/55/55/55/0 Dmg:
75/150/225/300/410 (+0.20 Crystal) Overdrive:
+35 damage.
Taka flips over his target, cutting it with his switchblade. Taka doesn't take damage while in mid-air.
Kaku : Slot:
B Energy Cost:
45/57/69/81/93 Speed Boost:
1.25 Duration:
3.5/3.75/4/4.25/4.5 Overdrive:
Heals 1% of health while invisible.
Taka throws a smoke bomb at his feet, vanishing from enemy sight and gaining move speed. This illusion ends early if he strikes a target or he takes direct damage. Turrets, Scout Traps and Flare Guns will see Taka while invisible. When maxed, this ability heals Taka for 1% of his max health per second while invisible.
X-Retsu : Slot :
C Energy Cost:
85/115/145 Dmg:
330/530/730 (+1.7 Crystal)
Taka bursts through his target, carving an X with his switchblades for lethal damage. The target suffers a mortal wound, reducing its healing by 50% and taking damage over the next 4 seconds.
Early Game
Start with a
weapon blade and get
Kaiten as your first skill. You can get a
potion if you think you need it. Then, keep on farming until you get
TB. At this point, you can get a
if you want to. If possible, try to get
TB before reaching level 6 as this will make it easier for you to beat up enemies who invade your jungle. After getting
TB, you can invade enemy jungle. Keep on farming as much gold as you can till the 10th minute. You can run up to the lane to help out your ally with enemy heroes after you get your ult.
Mid Game (Around the 10th minute or so)
After all that farming, you must be exhausted right? Head back to base to heal some health and buy 3
Swift shooters, a
Heavy Steel, and a
six sins. Though, im not sure if the gold would be enough. If not, go farm some gold and buy the remaining items. After having a lunch break (by that i mean you waddling at base), go and farm some more. With the items you just bought, you'll farm faster. Farm until you can get the 2 remaining Core items of this build, the
Tornado Trigger and the
Tyrant's Monocle. Once you get the core items, you can start hunting people down.
Late Game
By now you should have a few kills up your sleeve, maybe 1 or 2 deaths, and a few assists. With the gold you have from killing and assisting, you should be able to buy a
Sorrowblade and a
Travel Boots. You can go up to the lane and help your ally if you want to or you can keep jungling and assassinating enemies at their jungle, forcing them out of their jungle. If you wanna get your
Journey Boots and your sixth item quickly, i suggest get a killing spree or lane. Now that your Killing Set is complete, do whatever you want and win the game.
Play Style Top
AlWAYS initiate with
X-Retsu unless you don't have energy. Your
X-Retsu will deal massive damage and wound your opponent. Use
Kaiten after initiating and basic attack your opponent to death. This process will kill your opponent fast. If the plan backfires, for example you accidentally target your
X-Retsu at an enemy minion instead of the enemy hero, you can use
Kaku to go and hide in the brush. The opponent will think you're back to base or you retreated while you're waiting for your ult to get back on to assassinate him.
When farming, always use
Kaiten because....well um.... that's the only skill of
Taka that can deal damage besides
X-Retsu
When engaging on enemy, use your skills in this order
X-Retsu ---->
Kaiten ----> basic attack
If the enemy sees you and you still want to attack him, don't attack him head on. Sneak up on him, Use skills in this order.
Kaku ---->
X-Retsu ---->
Kaiten ----> basic attack
Items Explanation Top
Tension Bow: The added
180 dmg will have enemies trembling. Notice that you automatically attack after
Kaiten? If that attack has an active
Tension Bow with it, you'll basically sweep the enemy.
Tornado Trigger: This gives you
Critical and attack speed. So if you've used you're skills to initiate, you can basic attack them with speed. For example if a
Krul is still alive after you're process of initiation, he'll start basic attacking you to smite you. But he'll be dead before that happens cause' you've got a quite high
Damage and Crit on your side.
Tyrant's Monocle: It syncs with your heroic perk. It gives you
30% Critical which will add up with
Tornado Trigger to get a
50% Critical. It also adds your critical strike damage.
Sorrowblade: A critical strike doubles your basic attack damage.
Sorrowblade will add the damage of
Taka and it will be doubled on a regular basis (meaning you will crit most of the time) because of your heroic perk,
Tornado Trigger and
Tyrant's Monocle's
50% Critical. With this you will have
High Damage
Journey Boots: Every melee hero needs it. You'll be using it to chase and escape. Or to run from mad turrets because you disturbed their lunch break. It also gives you armor, shield, health regen, and max health together with speed boost (obviously).
Sixth Item Top
In this section i'll be explaining how each Defensive item can help you. You may choose one that you think is most useful in battle.
Fountain of Renewal: This can help you in lots of ways. Like
Journey Boots, it also gives you armor, shield, health regen and max health. When activated it heals 5 health for every % of health you lost for 3 seconds. The active can heal you massively because if you lost 60% health, you will get 300 health in return from the fountain. This is useful when slaying the
Kraken because you can regenerate health.
Crucible:
Crucible here can give you
+700 health and can activate
Reflex Block that can block up to
200 damage for 1.2 seconds. The
Reflex Block can help you and your allies when you're having a team fight. That blocked damage can make a difference.
Crucible is also the only
defensive item to give
700 health.
Metal Jacket: I suggest buying this if the items of your enemies are mostly Damage. If your enemies are mainly damage, this piece of armor will make their attacks quite useless. It gives you 155 armor (armor reduces damage from basic attacks) and 35 shield.
Atlas Pauldron: This pauldron will help you slow down the attack speed of speedfreak enemies. Activate it if SAW has full spin up stacks to reduce his attack speed and kill him. This gives 70 armor and 35 shield.
Aegis: I suggest getting this piece of shield if your enemies are dependent on their abilities to deal damage, make them deal little damage by using an ability or basic attacking (If enemies are crystal because they won't have damage) if you buy this item. It gives you 110 shield, 25 armor and 200 health.
Shiversteel: Shiversteel, it gives you
600 health and is fairly cheap. When activated, your basic attacks slow the enemy by 40% for 2.8 if you're melee and 0.8 if ranged. In this case, we're melee and the target will be slowed by 40% for 2.8 seconds. That'll help you to keep your target from running away and you or your allies can kill him.
Conclusion Top
I conclude that
Taka can be an assassin and a high damage dealer. By high, i mean
HIGH DAMAGE. If you found this guide helpful and it works with you, a simple thank you or an upvote would do! Any feedbacks, comments or suggestions are welcomed!
I might add other builds to this guide in the future (by future, I don't mean a few years lol! ).
Thanks for reading!
