Taka Attack Strategy: What is it? How to use it? Where to use it? When to use it? Who to use it on? And why to use it.
1. What is it?
The Taka Attack Strategy (T.A.S.) is a must-use stratagy that, when used properly, can bring down any Heroes with it. There are a few T.A.S., but the main one is, C.T.A.S. It is also used by some Heroes like Koshka.
2. How to use it?
Now comes the most important part, How To Use It. As mentioned above, there are a few T.A.S., but I'm going to discuss the 3 main ones here. If you're lazy to read, just read 2.1 and skip 2.2 and 2.3.
2.1 The Classic Taka Attack Strategy (C.T.A.S)
The C.T.A.S is used mainly for poke or sometimes in team fights. It's simple. It goes like this: X-Retsu -> Basic Attack Once -> Kaiten -> Basic Attack Once -> Run and Kaku away.
So, one might ask, "Why this formula?" Or "How does this even work?"
Well, it's simple. First of all the X-Retsu at the beginning is the Gap-Closer, it brings you closer to the enemy. Secondly Basic Attack Once for the Aftershock effect (14% of missing health and lifesteal). Thirdly Kaiten, maybe the enemy might use a threatening ability, like a stun, so the Kaiten will dodge the stun. (Disclaimer: There might not be a stun, it all depends on Chance And Coincidence.) Fourthly Basic Attack Again for the Mortal Strike effects, i.e, the Speed Boost. Lastly Run and Kaku Away (Not literally somtimes) with the help of the Mortal Strike Speed Boost.
2.2 The Defensive Kaiten Taka Attack Strategy (D.K.T.A.S)
Now this strategy is a little different from the C.T.A.S. It requires you to have Fast Reactions. This can be used in a team fight or on a 2v1 or a 1v1 fight. It goes like this:
X-Retsu -> Basic Attack Once -> Run Around while keeping your distance -> Kaiten over stuns -> Basic Attack Once -> Run And Kaku away / X-Retsu again and use C.T.A.S.
Note: If its a 2 versus you or 1v1, DO NOT stay around for too long!
Now lets break this down: X-Retsu for closing gap, Basic Attack Once for Aftershock effect and maybe Mortal Strike Effect. Run around to build consciousness, DO NOT let them get any closer. If they use a stun attack like Catherine's A or Ozo's ULT, Kaiten over it. Then Basic Attack once more for Mortal Strike's boost to run away. If this is a team fight then after Kaitening and Basic Attacking, use the C.T.A.S.
2.3 The Offensive Kaiten Taka Attack Strategy (O.K.T.A.S)
The O.K.T.A.S requires Timing And Fast Reactions. In this strategy you will Wait First and Attack Second. For easier explanation, it goes like this: Walk Around In Front of your team -> Prepare Kaiten to dodge over stuns -> Scenario A, a stun happens, you Kaiten over it. Scenario B, no stun happens, you Kaiten over the Enemy Carry -> After Kaiten, Basic Attack Once. -> X-Retsu -> Basic Attack Once Again -> Run and Kaku away / repeat C.T.A.S after your ULT is up again.
For O.K.T.A.S it's a little difficult to master than the other 2, cause' everything is happening so quick. So firstly, you walk in front of your team, like protecting your carry.
You prepare your Kaiten, if the Enemy Initiates a stun, like Catherine's A or Ozo's ULT, you Kaiten over it. After your Kaiten, Basic Attack Once for Mortal Strike or Aftershock effect.
Then X-Retsu on Enemy Carry. Then Basic Attack Once again. Now you can basically run and kaku away or you can stay to help your team by using C.T.A.S to bring down the enemy carry.
3. Where To Use It?
Of course there's a lot of place to use it. In a team fight, in a 1v1 fight, 2v1, 2v2, Etc.
4. When to use it?
Hmm. I know. It's not a good idea to use this strategy in early game, especially when you don't have your ULT. You can use it for quick pokes, or to quickly take down the Enemy Carry.
5. Who to use it on?
Now this is just as important as 2. You should definitely use it on the Enemy Carry first. But if the enemy team's composition is like 1 Captain and 2 carries, then you should take out the Carry that dishes out the most damage.
6.Why to use it?
Cuz you're tryna destroy the Enemy Carry. Jokes aside, the T.A.S. is a strategy that can destroy virtually any heroes. It's effective and if you ever see an Enemy or Ally Taka using this strategy, then it must mean that they're skilled with Taka.
