Tips and Tricks Top
Hi, I wanna share this because
Glaive is the 1st hero I bought, but I never played it until recently. 1st time I bought it, I don't know how to play with it, then I decided to learn how to use him. The result is amazing, I can dominate enemies (unless there's a noob teammates). so here's my suggestion:
1. Never use
Afterburn for initiate, or to go into a battle, or should I say, don't use it at all until you really need it. To go into a team fight, just walk to targeted enemies(preferrably the weakest enemy) attack and use
Twisted Stroke and keep attacking. If theres a dying enemy tries to run, then you can use
Afterburn, If ur health is low, use
Afterburn to run. Basically use it only for something useful.
2. Fully max
Twisted Stroke 1st, it helps you farm, and damage surrounding enemy heroes, useful at the early and end of game with the build I make.
3. Before going into a team fight, make sure max out
Bloodsong, but don't use it right away. Use auto attack and
Twisted Stroke until you think a
Bloodsong might reduce your enemies' health to a critical level or if you think it can kill an enemy.
4.
Glaive is a great lane hero, some might say I'm stupid for starting
Glaive in a lane, but I tried it numerous time, I can get all the money from the minion, which makes easier item building as the lane grants lots of money.
5. Don't buy armor/shield item, its useless except for health item and
Crucible or
Reflex Block, it can save you from a stun or slow.
Starting Lane/Jungle to Farm Top
I suggest going lane, and if your ally allows it, you will be super rich and powerful at a very fast rate.
Lane: Last hit with basic attack, if fail quickly use
Twisted Stroke, but normally u won't need to, as
Glaive has a good base attack damage. Help jungle when your allies got invaded, your presence with a
Twisted Stroke is a very great help to kill the invader.
Jungle: This will be tricky, if your jungle pair is a support with
Ironguard Contract, you can relax and farm. If your pair is another jungler like
Krul ,
Joule, etc, they will sometimes monopoly the big rich jungle creep and force you to kill the small poor jungle creeps. You will progress slowly if this happen, but do not worry, you can stillsteal the big jungle creep sometimes when your pair is not there to take it(do not KS your ally, it's a bad habit and will make your ally angry, unless he KS you 1st). Help lane sometimes, this will require you to use
Afterburn as initiation, but keep a safe distance, don't use it if you might get into bad position which is far from your turret.
Item:Build items in order of
Heavy Steel,
Six Sins,
Sprint Boots,
Blazing Salvo, then
Lucky Strike. Do not make
Sorrowblade right away.
Mid Game Top
By now, you better have both
Sorrowblade
Tornado Trigger, its the time for team fight. Never go out 1st, because you're not tanker, even if your appearance looks like it. Might sounds like a coward, but yeah, come out last and target squishy enemy or other enemy with lowest health at the time. Trust me, don't come out 1st, you will be targeted and die in no time,
Glaive's armor is even lower than
Skaarf. use Basic Attack
Twisted Stroke, basic attack,
Bloodsong if the enemies is in low health or if you can score a kill,
Afterburn if there's a dying hero flee from battle.
Late Game Top
Here's where things will be decided, if you already have
Tyrant's Monocle it will be easier, or even better if you also have
Bonesaw. Like the previous strategy, don't come out 1st, let your allies with better armor/shield go 1st or if your target enemy already visible. Do not try to attack the Kraken if your enemy is still alive or not visible, an ambush will kill you instantly. Pick one from another
Sorrowblade or
Serpent Mask for your last item
That's It Top
That's all!!! hope this is useful, and if this is similar to other guide from other people, I want to say sorry. I'm not copying other guides, I experiment with it myself. Thanks for reading and sorry for grammar.
