Hello Vainglorians (is that what we're called?) This will be my first guide, so I'd love feedback and criticism. Anyways I've been playing VG for about 3 months and was just hoping to share some of my builds that I've found particularly good or interesting. Hopefully you all enjoy this one as i have, and that there'll be many more where it came from.
Ranger Ringo??? Top
So before i get to the actual build, i'd like to point out one thing. Just like the title says, this build is primarily for the generic lane
Ringo, and not the infamous jungle Ringo, or "
Ranger Ringo" as the devs like to call it. However, this doesn't mean the mid to late game this build isn't for jungling. As you've probably already seen above, this build is basically all weapon damage or the like, meaning you should be able to 1-2 hit KO all the farm in the jungle at least by the time a few turrets are down.
Starting Off Top
To start I normally grab a
Book of Eulogies along with 2
Halcyon Potions. This gives me a lot of sustain and I can do some damage to the opponent in the lane and then lure them closer to my turret heal up a bit and the lane minions, then either go in for the kill or call the junglers up to help. Eventually i go down to the jungle shop and grab a few scout traps and leave them in the bush near me, just so that I know if the opponents are planning a gank.
Tips and Tricks (or not?) Top
As i often play Ringo in the lane, there are a few things I've picked up along the way:
If you're choosing Twirling Silver as your first skill in the beginning of the game (or even in the middle of the game), use it right before you leave the platform. It does give attack speed, but it also gives different amounts of movement speed boost as you level it up. So, using it right before you leave the platform not only give you a speed boost, but it will also keep your Ability Points bar close to, if not full.
When last hitting in the lane, try to wait for the lane minions' hp bar to get thicker and a brighter colour. This means that your attack is high enough to kill the minion, and get the gold. Most players already know this, but if you're like how I was and have played the game for some time without realizing this, here it is.
If you're in an intense battle, and your opponent starts to back off behind a turret or other their allies and are out of your attack range, you can still hit them with
Achilles Shot or
Hellfire Brew *
**Just be careful because you can't auto attack during the 2 seconds it takes to fire the Hellfire, and you could get killed by other enemies or stunned, cancelling your attack***
