"Do you want a cuddle, or do you want to win this thing". Your host, Yami EC, is back with another guide. Of course no fear, now i'm going to show you how to use Samuel's abilities in the correct way as possible. He's best use in lane where he can farm items or in the jungle where he can have less objectives and rule it as well
Corrupted Genius
This heroic perk is pretty useful, after 6 seconds, you can heal yourself. So it's best to pair it with an
Eve of Harvest to help out the lightning bolt's damage and better heal on yourself
Malice and Verdict
At first this ability seems spammable, but it's not.
Malice & Verdict gets blocked by the minions when used, so it's a waste when spam it. Use this ability only on enemy heroes when you see that there is no one to body block your ability.
Drifting Dark
Your only ability to bully enemies in the lane early on. Well sort of. Use it when you see at least 2 enemy heroes bunch up together. When you hit lvl2, you can run around enemies inside that doom cloud and deal significant amount of damage to them. While
Drifting Dark and
Malice & Verdict works good, however, use this combo at your own risk, cause you don't want to get cocky and then going on a suicide mission for nothing.
Frostburn proc this ability very well.
Oblivion
So this is the 101 guide "How to use Samuel's
Oblivion correctly"
- When use this ability you need to look at these conditions:
+ You are in the teamfight
+ At least 2 enemies are bunched up together
In that case, use
Oblivion on those 2 enemies and put the last target to sleep, usually the laner.
- When enemies are seperated, what to do?
+ No Taka or Skye situation: Use that ability on enemy roamer. Your team will completely shut down all the supportive that the enemy roamer can do. With the roamer out of the way, the other 2 carries will be roasted like no tomorrow since they can't stay up that long without their supporters
+ Taka or Skye situation: Put Taka and Skye to sleep, then proceed to kill the enemy team's other carry. Only support left, that's GG WP to the enemy team since you can concentrate on Skye/Taka next
Eve of Harvest: For more heal on his
Corrupted Genius and other abilities
Halcyon Chargers: Want more energy, better use
Halcyon Chargers. Get it when you finish your
Broken Myth
Broken Myth: Your 2nd item you should get. Stacking your opponents with
Drifting Dark and
Malice & Verdict to deal significant damage to groups of enemies, while also heal yourself.
Frostburn: Keep your enemies in
Drifting Dark is quite hard early on, but it's easy when you have
Frostburn. You can also assist your allies as well
Metal jacket and
Aegis: Samuel is an aggressive play hero, but also squishy, so 2 defense items are a must to make him survive longer
-
Aftershock: Although this item is another healing item and proc good with Samuel's
Corrupted Genius, Eve of Harvest's heal just simply better.
-
Clockwork: For a 25% CP amplification that's worthless. Choosing
Clockwork over
Frostburn is a great mistake you can make.
Frostburn provides more power, and stickiness to allow you to kite around enemies for longer time without getting caught. Additionally, Samuel needs no Cooldown items because his
Malice & Verdict already had short cooldown (3 seconds)
Thank you for reading the Crystal Samuel guide. Hope you have a fun time with him, like me
