Introduction Top
Hello everyone, my name is C1Slayer and this is my fourth guide on Vaingloryfire. Just to forewarn you, this won't be a complete comprehensive guide as this is not a beginner's guide. This is for players that have a good deal of experience with, not only the game, but also the fundamental mechanics of
Taka.
Burst Combo Top
This burst
Taka is actually quite simple if you have that aforementioned understanding of
Taka and his abilities. From level six and forward there is a six step process for nearly every enemy engagement. You begin by using
Kaku and steal thing into the outskirts of the battle with your ultimate in hand and showing its range. Once within range you
X-Retsu your target. You begin with X-Retsu as it puts mortal wound (and the effects of
Spellfire if purchased) onto your target, damaging them throughout the duration of the fight. The third step is a single basic attack, either for the
Aftershock effect (if purchased) or just for extra stutter step damage. The fourth step is to use your
Kaiten. Make sure that you are in a good/safe position when landing on the other side of an enemy after your
Kaiten. The fifth step is another basic attack for the same reason as the one after the
X-Retsu. The final step is to use
Kaku again. Whether it is to increase speed on a pursuit or to bak out of a high damage concentration area,
Kaku is the way to go for the last step. This is the most effective+efficient burst combo for this
Taka build. Keep in mind that this entire chain of events from the first
Kaku to the next]] should be less than a ten second interaction/attack.
General Play Style Top
If you have never played burst
Taka, the amount of damage you deal throughout the game will consistently surprise you. With that knowledge here are some basic tips.
1. Jump in confidently but get out like a wimp
- Use that burst combo and if they aren't half dead, high-tail it out of there (or should I say
Kaku out of there.
2. Know when to back out
- You are much more useful alive than you are trying to stay in the fray. Heal up with your box and jump back in there.
3. Stealth is your greatest ally
- Stay hidden either in the bushes or in your
Kaku box (or even both) as much as possible.
4. Build up your map awareness
- Don't only pay attention, not only what's going on around you, but from corner to corner on the entire map. This really applies to any hero but it is especially important for
Taka to have excellent map awareness as he is most likely going to be the fastest hero to any cross-map situations.
Allies Top
Captains: Taka is an extremely versatile hero. I was originally going to make a list of compatible captains but when looking at all of the captains, I saw that each and every one of them have something beneficial to
Taka's precise skill set and play style. Every single captain has some sort of stun, slow, or root which is really all that a
Taka needs to be successful.
Carries: The best matchup, for me at least, with a crystal burst
Taka is a weapon sustain carry. Someone with a high damage capacity over elongated periods of time that can chip away while
Taka bursts in and out of the battle. While weapon burst can work it just becomes more difficult to get that significant overtime damage that Take lacks.
End Notes Top
I hope you have benefitted from this build and will use this new power wisely. This build is also viable in Blitz and Battle Royale, just be sure to incorporate a clockwork in there somewhere earlier than your sixth item. If you want me to add anything or want a specific hero guide, I am very open to any all suggestions down in the comments. This is the crystal burst
Taka guide and I hope to see you out in the fold. Good luck!
