I find that stacking 2 Broken Myths against Taka & Koshka it really powerful, I can even survive 1 v 1 half the time. Also with the armor pierce, I do about 90-100% damage late game against them with my ulti depending on how they stacked their build.
What about the Taka lane threat? A well played Taka can take the advtantage early with only the book for regeneration. Celeste=poke ; book=anti poke. The book on Taka is even more op than a book on a ranged laner because of the higher regen of HP...
So, I don't really know how you counter this hard threat. If you can tell us, as a pretty experimented player of Celeste, how to counter a Taka with regen.
Why do first two games have same players? Same with last two. Private matches?
If yes, its ok your build and guide is great and public or private doesn't really matter for me as long as you get DEM KILLS

Hey. Great guide. I used this against a Koshka AND Taka and didn't die one time, also, one ally abandoned, good stuff. All I done was keep my distance and spot check the grass with heliogenesis, and used core collapse to lock them down so my Taka could finish them off.
I don't really want CD acceleration. I already have lifesteal from Eve, while more is better, I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference as a squishy mage that relies on avoiding damage - but as Celeste I'm constantly using abilities which activate aftershock. I definitely want crystal power. The faster attack speed should also increase the utility of Julia's Light
I'm not sure how to weight the damage component of each. With Eve and Frostburn you already have 130 crystal, and room for 150 from shatterglass. So Alternating Currentmight be better once you're totally built.
Good guide. I do a similar build and it's worked out about 75% of the time. When it doesn't, it's usually a combo of being singled out and lack of teammate support which Celeste totally relies on.
I won a game earlier today and their Taka was constantly trying to gank me. My strategy was to constantly be dropping suns near the jungle and to play as high up on the map (away from the jungle) as I could. That usually gave me enough time to start to head back to turret protection and/or predict where he'd try to go and then I'd drop another sun to blow up in his face. When I was near the turret I'd either let him catch up and Core Collapse or turn and throw a Solar Storm in his face. It usually sent him retreating or at least made him second guess the chase. I survived most of his attacks and even got a kill or two with a turrets or teammates help.
Probably wouldn't work all the time or with a super great Taka player, but it worked for me so I'll be trying it again.
I don't think Clockwork is very good as Celeste since Heli already has such a short CD. Looking at the benefits of Aftershock I do like the damage and crystal components, but again, I don't think the shorter CD is helpful.
totally agree with clockwork.
alternating current is good, but in the end I think you're nothing with AC... broken myth, after eve of harvest, aftershock, frostburn and shatterglass is a better combo. (mages don't need defence :-D)
I wonder if you can have the last hit with celeste's ulimate on kraken when you're really really far away. Never seen someone did it

I really like Eve of Harvest as your first ability item, and Frostburn second.

I like Shatterglass or Alternating Current as the third ability item for Celeste.
totally agree with clockwork.
