Gold and high IQ is necessary to be the best in this game.
Farming gold is easy for Catherine since she has the second ability, which is good for farming, and she's tanky.
Being wise in early game will prevent your enemy to become powerful in the end game ( But I tend to let the enemy go strong so that it will turn into a good fight instead a mediocre one.) An example of being wise is that you should know that you are not that tanky enough to take all that damage and most of the time you will die during clash. Another example is stealing enemy's jungle to prevent their jungler from going stronger.
Most people don't attack Catherine because she is extremly hard to kill when you got the right items. BUT, a lot of people don't know that she can do much damage to most heroes that are not tanky such as Saw, Ringo, Petal, Taka and Glaive.
Your second ability is essential for tanking heroes damage on you. You have to be wise when to charge and when to retreat. You have to charge on the enemy damage dealer as soon as you pop your 2nd ability. Then, you have to retreat when your 2nd ability is about to cool off because you are nothing without that shield. Or, you can use your Atlas Pauldron to reduce the attack speed of your enemy so that you won't take that much damage then your 2nd ability is ready for use again.
Becoming a pain-in-the-*** for the non-tanky heroes is the another reason why I love playing Catherine. There's 10-30% chance that these heroes can outrun but most of the time they can't unless they have their boots' skill up or Warhorn. Your 1st skill will do TONS of damage to the carry of the team because of your Aftershock and Tension Bow. This initial attack will chunk 25-40% of their total health. Then you can keep chasing them with your 2nd ability on and you can finish it off with your ultimate ability.
REMEMBER, 1. BE SMART 2. KNOW WHEN TO CHARGE AND RETREAT 3. IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET WISELY 4. THE UNIVERSE WILL KNEEL TO YOU.
