Any update for your guide? There are new items that can benefit Phinn more like the Storm Crown, Halcyon Boosters which I fondly use when I play as him. :)
Also for the Skye and Vox part you dont even know the half of it. It requires extreme luck to actually reflex block the silence for Vox. EXTREME luck. And for Skye, "Smart and skilled players" should be changed to "Anyone who isn't an idiot"
Phinns got a good threat meter. For example another Phinn, DEFINITELY Skaarf with that large burn damage taking off max health, and skaarf just regens it all since you so tanky, ringo hellfire brew on CP ringo may not outright remove you from a fight but it still HURTS, and Saw can chow down on you if CP assassin with Aftershock Roadie Run followed by Mad Cannon, Catherine can silence you to make sure her team escapes, and stormgaurd your quibble to reflect damage back towards your team, especially if you are CP phinn (Which is OP as a warrior), and her merciless pursuit won't stun you but it still gives a Captain of the Guard stack, but you are too slow to punish her for it. Riem's passive perk plus Winter Spire and your slow speed can do a lot more than you think if he builds Frostburn, Broken Myth, and goes for Journ Boots early game.
Also, think Phinn would be broken if he could use his ult to pull back his teammates too (Like out of Ardans Ult Arena and stuff). Course itd invite trollers to get 6 clockworks on phinn and do nothing but pull back your teammates every moment you can, but it'd become a very versatile and useful Ult. Well more so than it already is (I hate when phinns use their ult in conjunction with turrets. Ult, Quibble, Polite Company, they die.)
When it says "gains 15% additional armor, shield, and max health from items and effects", does that mean if it is stunned or slowed it gets more armor, shield, and health? And does it mean that if it buys items like atlas pauldron and uses it, it gains extra armor, shield, and health?
His passive ability, or perk, gives him 15% more armour and shield when u buy an item that gives u those stats. For example, when u buy an Atlas Pauldron, which usually gives u 85 armour and 35 shield, it gives Phinn 97.75 armour and 40.25 shield. That is his perk. Did this answer your question?
Informative, detailed, well thought-out item build and logical explanations for the items you use. It is evident you spent loads of time on thinking through this guide. I am glad to say I thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing guide. Truly one of a kind. I would suggest these few uses to be added in under the "Forced Accord" section.
- Preventing enemies from chasing after your teammates, if you are behind them.
- Pulling enemies in turrets when they are attacking you (Turrets attack the enemy hero who is attacking you if they are in range)
I would also love to suggest some uses for Polite Company, and I would request that you add this in for those seeking to learn more about his abilities.
- Preventing enemies from chasing your teammate(s) by pulling them back, or pulling them to your side and getting your teammate out of their range.
- Allow teammates to kill a fleeing target. Often enough, a simple Polite Company will get enemy/enemies into your teammate's range.
Lastly, I fully agree with your reasoning for using Contraption instead of Warhorn. Map vision and control is so much better than 3 seconds of sprinting. One might argue that Warhorn can help the entire team escape from a potentially dangerous situation like a dank, but if you are using the Contraption properly, these ganks and dangerous situations would not even have happened.
To conclude, this guide was amazingly done with few points for criticism, with an awesome, effective build to be the true support of your team. I would definitely recommend this to both new players and experienced players of Phinn as there is so much you can do with Phinn and they will surely learn something from this guide.
