Taka This guy is able to put out a ton of damage in seconds on your teammates and then vanish. So in a duel with him, it's good to keep a flare gun on you until you have no space for one and keep your Vanguard handy

The Overview of Support Ardan Top

Your job, is to save lives. You're primary focus is not getting the kills, though you are the initiator and potentially the closer because of your massive health. You should be the one dying and not your teammates since they put out a lot more damage than you. If you end a game with 1/6/7, that's ok. So long as your teammates had less deaths than you because you saved them, you played a good game of Ardan. That being said, as you get good with Ardan, your deaths will decrease significantly and your kills/assists will climb drastically.

The Abilities Top

Julia's Gift
- This is your passive ability and it does help tremendously if you get in a fight with enemies because as you take damage, you heal a small part of the damage back so as to lessen the blows. Also, Ardan doesn't use energy, so any energy boosting or cooldown reducing items are badically useless so that's why you don't use them.

Vanguard
- This is you primary life-safing ability. This targets either yourself or an ally and gives them a small barrier based off your bonus health as well as gives them a short speed boost. This is usually used as a clutch ability in case your ally is low on health and in danger of death. You rarely ever want to use Vanguard on yourself because it hardly gives you a barrier at all and your teammates are going to need it much more since they're most likely squishy characters. The only times you want to use it on yourself is if you're chasing a kill secure and need that boost or if you're the last standing hero.

Blood for Blood
- This is your primary attack ability. When you use this ability, it has a cooldown like any other ability, but with each basic attack, the counter goes down 2 seconds. You can either use this ability aggressively or defensively. Aggressively is obvious, but defensive? Yes, and it works. If you don't have Vanguard and your teammate isn't going to make it out of a battle, you can use this ability to distract the enemy heroes trying to kill your teammate. Usually they target you because you're now a threat, but sometimes they don't target you, so it's a gamble. Use it as a last resort.

Gauntlet
- Oh my gosh. This ability may not sound good since it's a "woo. You built a wall. Woo." kind of thing, but it is one of the most useful Ults in the game. You can use it to initiate a fight and trap the target(s) in the ring so your allies dish some damage out but the target(s) can't run away. You can use it as another way to buy you and your team some distance when you're kiting from certain death. But the way I usually use it is as a kill secure. If you're hunting down the last enemy from a fight and you've already used your Warhorn and Boots, you can trap the kiter in the ring and get Blood for Blood fully recharged and most likely a stun on the enemy. It's the perfect anti kite Ult.

How To Play Support Ardan Top

Make sure you have another player on the team playing jungle or else you will have to build Ardan more aggressively than this build. If you do have a separate jungler, perfect. Your job is to stick by their side almost 24/7 and soak up as much damage for them as possible. In the very beginning, you must attack all of the camps first so as to take the hits, but then you back off and let the jungler take the kill. You can help them weaken the minion, but never take the kill unless they have an Ironguard Contract as well. You are always the first to go through brush in case of ambush so you take the hits and you always follow where the Jungler goes. Don't go to the lane too often, only to help the laner kite, following the jungler, or keep ahold of the lane minions while the laner is away. You are the wild card on the team, you go where your defensive purposes are most needed. If you have a chance to secure a kill against a kiter, take it. You are bulky, so beginning to mid game you can tank a turret blast or two. Towards the end of the game, you could tank a turret so your teammates can destroy it if you're fresh out of lane minions. Basically, you are not designed to get kills, you are designed to save lives, though if you can bag one enemy every once in a while, do it. But if you want to go 15/whatever, pick a laner; they're built to do that.
