Alpha Alpha is one of the most retarded heroes against Krul. She is late game like Krul and scales similarly to him. The thing is that her abilities do nothing if you build Krul correctly. just tank her ult, and keep your smite until her reboot health is almost depleted then smite her.

Blackfeather Chickenfeed, just make sure to smite at correct times and ult him only when you are sure that he doesnt have his rose offensive up

Joule She is totally useless against you. Just stun her ult, place your stacks on her and smite her to kill her.

Ardan All supports are moderate threats as they can only stun, slow or atlas you. these are easily countered by a reflex block so always ignore them in teamfights.

Ozo Ozo is just pathetic. Your lifesteal is stronger than his so he is completely useless against you. Just watch out for cp ozo as he can burst you down early game.

Celeste Frankly speaking, I think Celeste is one of the weakest heroes against Krul as she only has a stun to counter him. just move around her and she wont be able to land it on you..

Skaarf Skaarf is also very weak against Krul. Why? When you gank him, he will use his goop to slow you down. However, your perk wouldve slowed him too, so you would still be able to stick to him and suck the life out of his tasty dragon body.

Fortress Out of all the supports, fortress is the only threat as his B ability can inflict a mortal wound on you, reducing your healing immensely. just make sure to kill his carries fast and the wound will not affect much.

Reim Krul can hold his own against Reim even better as his smite stack will halve Reim's crystal power, so dont be afraid of engaging him early game, just remember to get a light shield and a oakheart first.

Glaive Krul can hold his own against glaive easily after reaching level 5/6 so avoid engagments early game as he is stronger then. Just remember to reflex block his afterburn only if it will disadvantage you.

Lance Beware of WP Lance, as his impale can do a shit ton of damage if you are not prepared.

Kestrel Kestrel is easy. Just remember to buy defense and NEVER EVER walk into the goddamned mist of hers. Also remember to positiojn your self between the gold mine/ Kraken if she is aloive as she may snipe it.

Rona Try to kill her before she can do too much damage to you and negate th damage from her ult with your barrier from your A ability.

SAW Only engage when he is not fully spun up or when cp. because of his ridiculously slow movement speed when he has his stacks, you can gank him easily.

Taka He can box away when on low health so throw the sword in the direction he went invisible and will most probably be hit.

Ringo He can be your best friend or worst enemy. If you dont have shiversteel or your perk charged up, NEVER engage with him as a good ringo can slow you, buff his movement speed and kite you to death.

Vox Same as Ringo, he can zoom away, slow you with pulse and kite you back to hell. engage only when you have a slow or your ult.

Petal NEVER ENGAGE EARLY GAME! She will just squash you like a bug due to her early-game prowess.

Introduction Top

I main Krul and have had great success with him in casual and even ranked matches, even though I'm in POA. This shows that Krul can be a monster if used correctly and through this guide I hope to be able to help you learn Krul.

Ability Rundown Top

Heroic Perk

Krul's perk is Shadows Empower Me. Krul is empowered by the shadows after standing still in brush for 1.5 seconds. Once empowered, Krul briefly gains 2 move speed and his next basic attack will slow the target by 40% for 3 seconds. This perk is very useful for ganking in the lane so always make sure to charge it before you go dashing towards the enemy laner. Only gank when the laner is standing near your tribush or over the middle line so it will be a confirm kill.

A Ability

His first ability is Dead Man's Rush Krul dashes to the target, deals damage and applies basic-attack effects. Activating Dead Man's Rush grants Krul a health barrier for 2.5 seconds. Use this ability for ganking ONLY when your perk is about to wear off and you still have not reached the enemy laner (which is not supposed to happen) or to catch up with them after your slow has worn off. In teamfights, use this to survive the initial burst from heroes like Glaive or Taka.

B Ability

His second ability is Spectral Smite This is the ability that makes krul so strong in the game. Passive: Basic attacks & abilities apply Weakness for 4 seconds (up to 8 stacks). Each stack reduces the target's attack speed and crystal power by 6.2% and increases Krul's lifesteal against the weakened target.
Activate: Detonate the stacks to deal damage and regain health based on the number of stacks consumed.
If you are able to get full stacks on an enemy, their crystal wil be reduced by almost 50%!! This is very useful against mages like Skaarf as it will greatly reduce their damage output. Therefore, always try to get full stacks on opponents and do not detonate the stacks until you are sure that they are going to die or if you need to regain health quickly.

C Ability

His third ability is From Hell's Heart. Krul pulls Hellrazor from his chest and hurls it in the targeted direction. The sword will boomerang back to Krul after reaching max range. If the sword hits an enemy hero, it deals damage and stuns, then slows the target. Damage and stun duration scales with the distance the sword traveled before hitting the target. (50% at point blank range, 100% at max range and up to 150% at 'boomerang' range). The ultimate is only useful for locking down enemies and disrupting ultimates. Take the first point at level 6 but only take the second point at level 12. For ganking, a more effective way to use the ultimate is to throw it behind you, dash out with your perk and slow the laner and stay behind the laner so the sword will smash them for a 2.5 second stun.

Tips and Tricks Top

When trying to build stacks, it is best to wait in the brush for an enemy (not the roam) to walk by and then dash up to them and slow them, stutter-stepping around them to get your stacks up as fast as possible and smite them to kill them.

If the enemy jungler is Petal, Koshka or Skye and they decide to invade early game (if they know how to play), go to their jungle via the lane brush and take their farm before teleporting back home. If any jungler other than the three stated above decides to be ******s and invade, get your stacks up on them and make them regret what they did (especially those cocky reims and glaives).

Do not engage anyone before you get you Blazing Salvo and Sprint Boots as you will still be too weak to stick to them or kill them.
