About Me: Top
Hi, I'm SlayGod69, and I've been playing VainGlory for a year. Taka was my very first hero, and he has been my main since update 1.9. I like to experiment with builds, for extra fun, and I like playing any of the champions. This is my first guide, and I hope you enjoy!
Introduction: Top
Taka used to be one of the largest slayers in the whole game. His passive, which gave crits, lifesteal and CDR, was one of the most op in the whole game. However, VG decided to change him in Update 1.9. They got rid of the lifesteal, making his potential as wp assassin close to null. Therefore, I experimented with all sorts of builds, from tension bow to shatterglass to clockwork builds. This build is my most successful one, with a 5-2 win-loss rate, and the losses were due to my team afk'ing.
Skills Top
House Kumaha:
This is Taka's passive, which guarantees crits every five seconds and gives CDR(cooldown reduction). Each time he crits or uses an ability, he gets a stack of ki. Each stack speeds up the crit cooldown and gives 25% cooldown reduction. This stacks up to five times.
Kaiten:
This is Taka's first ability, where he spins over the target, dealing crystal damage, and becomes invulnerable while in the air. When overdrived, this ability does not use any energy, which becomes incredibly useful for staying in the fight.
Kaku:
This is Taka's second ability, where he becomes invisible, gains movement speed and heals himself based on cp. This is incredibly useful for keeping stacks of ki, retreating from battle, chasing a kill, ganking, healing, and re-positioning. This ability has a long cooldown, and DOES NOT DO DAMAGE, so save it for when you need it.
X-retsu:
This is Taka's ult, the main source of burst damage. He bursts through his target, carving an X, and applies a mortal wound. The mortal wound causes bleeding, which scales off of cp. The target keeps bleeding while Taka is attacking the target. The bleeding is great for getting kills, since your basic attack is very weak. The ult grants 1, 2, or 3 stacks of ki, going up with levels.

Build:
Starting with energy battery allows you to spam your abilities early on, making your clear faster. If you want, you can start with crystal bit, but you can always get that when you make your first clear. Start off with piercing shard, which bypasses the target's shield and gives a decent amount of CP. After, buy heavy prism for heavy damage. Save up for Eve of Harvest, which gives your abilities life steal. After Eve of Harvest, either broken myth or Shatterglass will be effective. You don't want to get travel boots too early in the game, since your build requires a lot of money for lots of burst.
Ganking:
Since you have very little damage besides your first pre-level 6, only gank when the opponent is very stupid or has little health. Kills early game don't grant much gold, so I wouldn't waste time on it. However, at level 6, Taka's potential soars. His second allows him to sneak right behind enemies, and his ult does massive damage, paired with a high-damage first.
Team Battles:
Taka is very squishy, probably the weakest hero in the entire game. During team battles, avoid going into the middle of the fight, rather, go to the back where usually the high damage dealers are and burst them. It helps to have all five stacks of ki before going into battle. After killing the marksman or mage, disguise and re-position yourself so the other team can't see you. Even if you're low on health after assassinating the carry, the disguise will heal you for a large amount of health. After your cooldowns are off, burst the the second damage dealer, not the support.
Farming:
Although it takes a frustratingly long time to kill jungle creeps, the end result is worth it. You end up with a burst hero capable of 1v3 their whole team.
