Hi everybody, I'm Peter "lookatme", the captain of Team SNOW. I'm in a hurry now to satisfy your desire for learning, and here's Reim (the "old man") guide.
Reim is very tanky, and if he meets a Krul 1x1, they'll kill each other for a very long time. Nobody can match his ability to survive. Reim's big advantage is his speed of farming the jungle, it can be matched only by Skye and Kestrel. So Reim can move quickly enough through the jungle, and reach the jungle shop before the enemies, or come to the lane for ganking.
You can watch the video version of this guide below (ENG SUBS)
Frostguard Reim's basic attacks deal additional crystal damage, which has almost 100% crystal rate. 25% of the damage dealt transforms into fortified health (and half of the fortified health is actually a barrier), so it's fully true for Reim that the best defense is attack. In addition, basic attacks (starting with the 2nd one) slow enemies down and deal damage over time during the next 2 seconds. In short, Reim has immense barrier, he can survive in 2v1 combat with 10% HP.
Winter Spire
The old man throws ice spike to the chosen spot. We overdrive it ASAP for more distance and damage. 35% of the damage dealt transforms into Reim's fortified health. The hard part is to hit the enemy with this spike. You need to cast it to the place where enemy will be at the moment of its appearance. You'll want to practice this, it's only matter of skill.
Chill Winds
This ability freezes ("roots") the enemies, so that they cannot move (including abilities that involve movement) and deals tiny damage. You should upgrade it last. To freeze the enemy with this ability you have to hit him at first with basic attack or A ability, otherwise nothing will happen. In fact, rooted enemies can attack and use some of the abilities, they only cannot change position. But practically the enemy thinks that he's stunned, so he just stands there and doesn't do anything, trying in vain to escape. This ability really can sometimes be a substitute of stun, and it also allows you to take good aim with your A ability.
Valkyrie
The ultimate, Valkyrie (I like that name) drops a huge icicle on the chosen circular area, which stuns the enemies in the center and slows them down, if they stand in the sides. It can be used to cancel enemies' ultimates. It deals very significant damage, so it's better to overdrive it. It takes the icicle a fair 2 second time to fall down, so try to predict the positioning of the enemies at that moment.
Itembuild for Reim is focused pretty much on attack. At first we need Eve of Harvest, to survive longer and regenerate energy. The second item will be Broken Myth, as the most powerful crystal item. You'll need also at least Travel Boots, to catch up with the enemy carries.
Sometimes I don't buy any defense for Reim at all. He can die only if a sniper or mage kites him well, or if a Krul or Blackfeather strikes him with a fully stacked Breaking Point. If you see you're dying fast, of course you should buy defensive items.
In teamfights your main purpose is to reach the most squishy enemy and use all your kit on him to prevent him from escaping. If you see that you've failed, start attacking the nearest enemy to gain fortified health and deal some damage. The main part of Reim gameplay is using his Winter Spire, which deals enormous damage and create fortified health, but is is also very slow, so practice hitting the enemies with it.
Now you know whom to buy when you have 8000 glory again. :)
