at first, sorry for my englisch, not the best... Played this Build 1-time, was pretty hard, but AWESOME how EASY i get this bloody krul (and petal and the other Celeste) down :-) Thanks for this Guide, not the best u can build against good players, but lot of fun anyway if ur mades are doing well!!! Offense s the best Defense...

A mage in a MOBA is close to what you would expect to see from most RPGs; they rely on their abilities for the damage over physical attacks. Celeste has a great auto-attack, but only because it scales with cp, but if you didn't use your abilities you're missing out on a ton of damage.
As for "... Celeste doesn't benefit from [defense]", skipper587 is saying that you'll be wasting your money on defensive items, you'll still get that +200 hp, but if you're targeted you'll still most likely die. You have a much better chance of survival if you're able to nuke the enemy down. I personally like having a Reflex Block on me to negate stuns and to run out of Ardan's Gauntlet. But otherwise I rarely stray from blue items.
Oh! and yes, Frostburn should proc from her basic attacks. I believe the devs confirmed this on one of their Friday live streams.
"Celeste is an all-blue mage, meaning she doesn't benefit from defensives."
Whoa whoa, could you clarify this? Sorry, I'm new to moba, so I'm not even sure what "mage" necessarily means in the context of this genre. Do you mean that Celeste is meant to be played so offensively that defensive items should be skipped, or does she literally not receive any benefits from defensive items? Like, if I get an oakheart as Celeste, I'm still getting 200+ hp, right?
Followup question... since her basic attacks are blue, does that mean frostburn slows on basic attacks and helio/abilities?
As always Skipper, a fantastic guide, watching you play her is definitely making me put more time into playing her. Any particular reason on not building any defense? And how often is Frostburn useful in the build?

Hope this helped!
