Basics Top

Blackfeathers early game is really weak. So your going to probably be pushed under your turret with any other laner. Focus on last hitting and you will become a beast into the late game.

Items
Items are always situational, but I've noticed crit works really well with him. because your damage isn't great early game I would suggest getting some defense. I've also had BP and SM work really well with him depending on what I'm going up against.
is also a good item for Blackfeather. You can use your ult with Shiversteel activated and it will apply it to all the targets that you hit.

Abilities

With overdriving your your rose trail will give you a speed boost and you are immune to slows, which will help a lot when dealing with slippery heros. It also applies full stacks of hearththrob which grants you the execute on your which is the bread and butter of his kit. This ability scales based on your targets % missing health so the later you use it in the fight the better.


This slows and grants a barrier which can save you a lot. It is also good for poking in lane and getting last hits. Since your are pretty weak your can use this to hit the other laner to bring minions closer to your turret for a little more safety. I don't max this as weapon because it doesn't do a great amount of damage.


You can use offensively but it can also be used to prevent stuns. While you are moving to the target location with you are immune to any CC, so you are basically given 2 Reflex blocks at level 6.
