Arcane Renewal
Adagio recharges energy whenever enemies burning with Arcane Fire take damage from any source.
Gift of Fire
Adagio heals a target ally and splashes Arcane Fire onto nearby enemies, dealing damage every second. If
Adagio targets himself, he will slow nearby enemies. Each point spent on
Gift of Fire increases its healing power, burn damage and energy cost.
Agent of Wrath
Increases target allys basic attack for several seconds. Deals additional damage to enemies burning with Arcane Fire. If
Adagio targets himself, the bonus attack is even greater. Each point spent on
Agent of Wrath increases its power boost, burn damage and energy cost. Each point also accelerates its cool down.
Verse of Judgement
Adagio channels for 2 seconds then deals damage to all enemies in a rune-marked ring around him. Enemies burning with Arcane Fire are also stunned. Each point spent on Verse of Judgement increases its damage, stun duration and energy cost and accelerates its cool down.
In VainGlory, there are two primary roles.
1) The Lane
2) The Jungle
Adagio falls into an odd category where he can float between the two. Though in my opinion, he tends to lean more towards the Lane or Lane assist. Unlike the Jungle characters, the Lane characters need to demonstrate patience and timing. You are not just running around killing things as fast as possible. Lane-ing is more like a tennis match. You go back and forth, often over the course of several minutes. While doing so you very subtly maneuver your opponent to where you want him. Once he gets there...SMACK! You take him out.
Objective While Lane-ing
You are not trying to push forward as fast as possible, kicking a$$ and taking names. Instead you are really just waiting for your counter-part to mess up. Once you are able to take him out, move up with your minions and attack the next turret. Slow and steady wins this race, especially with
Adagio
He does not have the farthest range nor the most powerful basic attack. But what he lacks in power, he makes up in his abilities and their subsequent consequences.
Gift of Fire will quickly become your best friend and, if you know how to use it properly, your enemies worst nightmare. This spell not only heals you or whoever you cast it on, it also splashes fire onto nearby enemies dealing DOT (damage over time). While they burn, any damage done to them (via minions, you, allies, turrets, etc.) recovers your energy. So you find out quickly to make sure whoever you heal needs to have a sizable number of enemies around him/her.
Agent of Wrath will come in handy when your counterpart messes up in his foot placement. When you think you can get a good 3+ auto attacks on your opponent, hit yourself with
Agent of Wrath. You will quickly make them rethink their actions. If you are close enough to hit yourself with
Gift of Fire (thus igniting surrounding enemies) AND hit them multiple times after using
Agent of Wrath, that is the ideal combo.
Last but not least....
Verse of Judgement is your Ultimate and properly label as such. Once you equip some items jacking up your crystal power, this spell is a heart stopper. Like the last paragraph about
Agent of Wrath, if you are able to hit yourself or an ally with
Gift of Fire near a group of enemies, then you can use
Verse of Judgement....Look out! Not only are you going to devastate anyone caught in the circle, but anyone on fire is also stunned. If you happen to have some allies in the area when this happens, they can sweep up after you!
Stay tuned, this is a work in progress!
