You wrong DartxlcexDragon!! The first buy is must be irongurd contract not oakheart! How you got money to buy ironguard contract and sprint boots if your money used to oakheart??!!
I agree, a contract is key to being support, also half the items listed are fountains??? This guide is not very well made. Fortress is my favorite character and seeing this guide makes me sad because he can be used so much better with a differnt build.
Is more than one fountain really ok? Call me a penny-pincher, but I don't think it's worth building if the passives don't stack.
As was said in the guide, it's situational for enemies that focus on outlasting your carries. Also, in certain situations, healing my teammates with consecutive fountains has allowed my team to turn around ambushes into aces, especially when using war horn (not used the guide but it's active allows a speed boost that can help you and yor team ambush, chase down, or retreat from fights).
Very nice build. Now i play fortress as mention in this topic and it works almost every time. Excepted when my carries don't understand how works fortress :)
But what about the extra attack speed and health?

Extra attack speed is nice if you're planning on killing someone, but if you're going with this build, this will most likely not going to be the case. The bonus health is nice, but you have to keep in mind that your life is not what matters, but your carry is the one that needs to live.
Contraption is awesome! Not only does it give you decent stats but it gives you infinite scout mines and flares! Totally going to play fortress with contraption now!
