This is the classic Ardan Build suggested by the devs. Remember, when you pick Ardan your teammates expect you to play a protector. This build is the epitome of the this role. Although not as agressive as Ardan could be, this build is very reliable and fits different circumstances.
I already played several times as Ardan and by far, didn't make good use of his ultimate. Ardan seems to be the first hero to not have a game changer ultimate. The thing is, you are unlikely to use it early game so there's no particular point of upgrading it. It is, however, handy in late game team fights, but by the time it becomes handy you already have two points on it.
It is best to follow a fixed strategy when you start the game. Here is mine, wich I consider the best out there:
1)Buy the STARTING ITEMS asap and head to the future minion miner's spot. You should arrive there by 0:40-0:45.
2)Place your
Scout Trap behind him, closer to the enemy's side.
3)After you do that, go visit the jungle shop and buy a
Flare Gun. Activate it immediately to see if the enemy's jungle camp near the shop is safe to capture.
4) If it is, go ahead and capture it. Otherwise, head back to your side of the jungle.
5) You can now choose a teammate to protect and stick with him.
This algorithm should give you a considerable advantage over your enemies.
Enjoy your protecting! Leave a comment if you have any suggestions or remarks.
