After the latest changes to Celeste, her solarstorm doesn't hit as hard, but it passes through minions... But her first ability has become super spammable... Most builds would focus on getting eve of harvest and and clockwork in order to overwhelm the opponents... But when trying it myself I got annoyed over the timing... She needed some way to slow the opponents long enough for her blasts to hit...
That's where frostburn came into the picture. This item is awesome for Celeste since it boosts her crystal damage and slows the opponents.
The problem now was that she was squishy and lacked mana after short periods. Getting a clockwork gave a nice boost to recovery and cool down, but it didn't boost the additional slow from frostburn.
Aftershock granted crystal damage, some cool down reduction AND lifesteal... But not enough cool down...
Having an additional clockwork with aftershock seemed nice, but she was still too squishy... But everything above would cost more, and I couldn't get the cash on time to make it work... But when I tried with contraption, she got lots of extra cash, nice extra cool down, 200 extra life and regen! Plus, the ability to lay down unlimited mines was super sweet as a perimeter guard...
Celeste is great at kiting, last hitting and high damage... But she needs to be very mobile, so getting journey boots was needed.
So the core for this build was set... Four items that would make her awesome.
But what about the two remaining slots?
Defence always varies, but shiversteel is cheap and gives an ability that works well for Celeste, since she always gets targeted by melee assassins...
Last slot works well for infusion crystals... But no Celeste is complete without broken myth.
This item brought her from awesome to g-dlike due to the massive benefits it provides together with her already purchased items.
