Thanks great build I've been looking for a working Lance build very helpful
Also random thought do you prefer the Netherknight Lance or Gladiator Lance? I can't decide which skin to get everyone is free to share their thoughts.
Netherknight Lance T3 is probably going to better than Gladiator Lance but only time will tell. Buy the one that you think looks cooler or will be better but I think that Gladiator is better than Netherknight for now.
Flicker can be pain in the *** - one should rush Contraption and place Scout Traps everywhere. You should also spend more time in the lane, protecting your teammate from ganks. Good way to protect your team from Flicker's B is a combo Gythian Wall and then Impale. If you are lucky, that would save your allies from his slow.
So i have a weird thought on lance... what would happen if you had full broken myth stacks on him... would it calculate damage after his partisan technique or would it calculate damage amplification after just armor then his partisans technique cut it in half. This is an interesting idea to either how to counter him or what not to build against him. He could be a lot less tanky then he seems if the broken myth stacks after partisans technique.
I guess you are talking about 50% damage reduction passive from Lance's Gythian Wall and 10% shield pierce from Broken Myth, because I don't find Partisan's Technique to make any sense here.
If you meant crystal amplification (max 35% on BM) then I am almost 100% sure it is applied before any damage is calculated.
I am also quite sure that when it comes to shield pierce it is applied before Gythian Wall's passive, thus has no effect on it.
Example to make it fully understandable:
If I were to deal 100 crystal damage to Lance with his shield equal to 50, then I would deal:
100/1.5 = 67 dmg
If I had a 35% CP amplify from BM then I would deal:
135/1.5 = 90 dmg
If I had 10% shield pierce, then it would be:
0.1*135 + 0.9*135/1.5 = 94 dmg
And now 50% dmg reduction from Gythian Wall is applied, so Lance would take:
94*0.5 = 47 dmg
I usually start with Lifespring, then go for some cooldown reduction (and energy as well), eg. Clockwork. Next, finish FoR, and respond to what enemy is building. I can't tell what last item should be - it depends on enemy's builds
umm for the support build instead of the shiversteel a clockwork could work much better, cuz more cc and crowd control, when you have that cr so its much better than a shiversteel.
Two reasons:
First, late-game most of the encounters takes place in the jungle, where you can easily stun Krul or Rona. This will make Krul's stacks less effective and disrupt Rona's Red Mist.
Second, this guide wasn't meant to be that detailed. I could write that you should take Atlas Pauldron when facing Krul, Rona or SAW. I could also mention that you should consider taking Aegis/Metal Jacket when their whole team builds CP or WP. I could write that if there isn't a threat of your whole team getting stunned (like from Adagio's ult), but there it some kiting enemy (like Ringo or Skaarf), you should take Shiversteel. If there is Taka present, you could also consider taking Contraption to reveal him.
But then, this guide won't be clear, perspicuous, and to some extend people wouldn't know what to choose from that much items listed.
Totally new players will be satisfied with this level of precision, and experienced players will know how to modify it depending on enemy team
But thanks for the update, I will consider expanding this guide in some "friendly user" form, to add more details
Well, thanks for constructive criticism. I won't argue with it, because you're right.
You know, when you are considering 24 heroes to write about them, it is an arduous task, and my brain stopped cooperating at some point. Anyway, I updated this guide. Thanks for making it better
