In 1.12, Krul's early game life steal received a dramatic buff. As a result, there are new styles of building that are now viable. One such style we're testing is a heavy WP build.
The idea behind this is this is that with more weapon power, your lifesteal heals you for more. We're still not solid on wether this is actually better than the attack speed-breaking point build, but its certainly viable.
Spectral Smite is maxed first because its the core of your kit in this build and provides this built a lot of benefit.
Dead Man's Rush will be maxed after Smite.
From Hell's Heart provides Krul with a lot of utility, but there's little sense in taking the third rank in this ultimate, because of the low added benefit when compared to the other two abilities. It will be ranked last.
EXCEPTIONS:
Two ranks will be put into Dead Man's Rush at lvl2 and lvl3. This is because Krul can get a large power spike at lvl3 by taking the second rank in it. In addition, because Krul's lifesteal per stack is the same at every rank but the overdrive, it's easier for him to wait.
From Hell's Heart will get it's first rank at lvl6, when it first becomes available.
Start with
Weapon Blade and a
Scout Trap.
Alternatively start with
Swift Shooter. For a more defensive start, go with a
Light Armor or
Light Shield.
As an alternative to a Scout Trap, consider two Halcyon Potions for energy recharge.
