Sorrowblade: THE MAIN SOURCE OF DAMAGE FOR EVERY WP Carry. No Sorrowblade barely any base damage on basic attacks. You can have 6 Tyrant's Monocole's but 5 and 1 Sorrowblade would do much better (don't actually build that please).
Serpent's Mask: Gives you that extra incentive to stay in the lane instead of teleporting back, also helpful to pick up that Book of Euologies earlier to stay healthy while in lane because early game your prone to ganks. Also means you don't have to rely on the pathetic WP heal from Gift of Fire to keep you alive.
Tornado Trigger: Makes Adagio's wings flap really f***t (they look really funny xD)and overall fantastic item. Fits well with Tyrant's Monocole.
Tyrant's Monocole: Better Crit Chance and more Crit damage paired with the 20% from Tornado Trigger half the time you'll get a burst of damage and take out those pesky "carries".
Journey Boots: Seriously is this really a surprise? Since this is my first build I'll tell you guys why.... To chase after people (duhhh), to run away from people (duhh), to get that random speed boost every minute or so (duhhh) and GET SOME FREAKING HEALTH, ARMOR AND SHIELD ALL IN ONE FREAKING ITEM.
Aegis: Aegis against Crystal. Some people ask if they have a WP carry and CP which do I build defense for? Unless it's a ringo, saw or krul and you need to build Atlas Pauldron. I'd say build Aegis which is what I do 90% of the time. If a jungle CP Celeste was doing just as much harm as a WP Ringo carry, I'd build the Aegis for the 200+ health and that very handy reflex block that you don't get if you buy Metal jacket.
Optional:
Crucible: 500 Health and Reflex Blocks all around what's not to like?
Metal Jacket: If it's a double weapon comp or the main carry is WP
Shiversteel: Can help you stick to those extremely slippery heroes that like to poke.
Bonesaw: As soon as you start stacking the Sorrowblade and Tyrant's Monocole, if they all build defense which would suck if you picked up a bonesaw and had a good support, stay alive long enough to get the stacks and your back to OP. BAM! Or replace Tornado Trigger with the Bonesaw if they are Joule or Catherine because of their base armor.
What's WP Adagio best at?
- Targeting a single enemy and bursting him down with crits and basic attacks.
- Not bad at AOE slows and stun.
Team Fight Strategies!
Basic attacks: Your main source of damage, usually silencing Adagio can be devastating for a CP Adagio but WP nope your main damage is still coming from your basic attacks and them only.
Arcane Fire: Try to light as many enemy heroes as you can with Arcane Fire, it may not seem like a lot of damage but it wears them down and also helps you hugely in last hitting the minions.
Gift of Fire: Playing as WP Adagio in a teamfight Gift of Fire won't heal you more than your normal regen will activate it on the member of your team that's in the middle of all the action. It'll slow everyone and provide that extra ticking damage from Arcane Fire to give you that little advantage.
Agent of Wrath: Probably your most important ability as WP Adagio, it'll only give you a bit more WP damage but that can be the gamechanger once the late game team fights start happening.
Verse of Judgement: MAKE SURE EVERYONE ON THE OPPOSITE TEAM IS BURNING WITH ARCANE FIRE BEFORE YOU ACTIVATE VERSE OF JUDGEMENT. OR IF JUST THE LANE AND JUNGLE CARRIES ARE LIT THAT'S ALSO OK. Use your boots to plant your self in the middle of the fight than use Gift of Fire on yourself or your teammates it doesn't really mater and use Verse of Judgement. To get that little bit of AOE damage and the most important part the AOE stun which can turn a whole teamfight around if used properly. REMEMBER IT DOESN'T DO THAT MUCH DAMAGE YOUR NOT CP ADAGIO!
Team Fight Strategies!
Basic attacks: If they build correctly than he'll be a menace build Metal Jacket and pray to god that your support builds Atlas Pauldron.
Gift of Fire: You won't even know when he activated it because the heal is so little with WP though don't go to close when you're hit with Arcane Fire because of the possible stun from Verse of Judgement.
Agent of Wrath: Again unless you pay extremely close attention to the particles probably won't notice unless late game he picks up a crystal infusion to maximize his damage.
Verse of Judgement: DEFINITELY NOT WORTH REFLEX BLOCKING! Unless your hit with arcane fire, either hope one of your teammates stun him or just reflex block because his stun is kind of irritating with its length.
ADAGIO WP LANE CARRY: STRAIGHT UP PURE BASIC ATTACK DAMAGE!
KOSHKA CP JUNGLE CARRY: To help compensate for WP Adagio's extremely weak early game by forcing the enemy team out of their jungle and allowing Adagio to farm without worry of being ganked.
ARDAN UTILITY ROAM CARRY: His Vanguard gives that tiny speed boost for Adagio since he doesn't really have any escape mechanism either than his Gift of Fire slow which is kind of unreliable. Is also great at tanking hits if against a Skaarf, Skye or Kestrel in lane.
