Why Catherine? Why not some other hero meant to deal crystal damage?
Good question, I'll give you a few points referencing her item build as to why this is good.
1: Eve of harvest, combined with her
Stormguard the Eve gives plenty of health, even more with the final point and is very well when utilized by standing in the middle of a group of heros, when you're focused her bubble will reflect a ton of damage hitting the enemy heros, healing yourself and dealing a good amount of damage, plus a helpful way to hit someone with frostburn.
2: With the
Broken Myth and
Alternating Current shutter stepping with Catherine is no longer awkward, you can easily activate her bubble with
Frostburn, get ahead and hit repeatedly, then pop a
Merciless Pursuit after you get the full stacks of
Broken Myth.
I don't need to explain
Clockwork right? It's Catherine for petes sake.
3:
Blast Tremor, I suggest taking the last point on this for the 620 base damage with a 170% crystal percent, great for killing a low health enemy under a turret or really denting an enemy team hiding in a bush.
Her job? Well that depends, squishy enemies that don't have shields yet? be an assassin, pop a stun to catch them and bubble it up.
Tanky enemies? take a more direct approach by standing next to them with a bubble and shutterstepping.
In general i can compare her playstyle to a
Vox, as she uses her basic attacks a lot but also deals a ton of ability damage, a mage/warrior in other words.
with thisfull build you will have an exact number of 205 crystal power, if you enjoy numbers think about how that affects abilities, if you don't enjoy numbers then basically what I'm saying is her ability damage is doubled, plus the
Broken Myth
