House Kamuha Taka's heroic perk is the ability to deal Mortal Strikes. They deal extra 40 damage +25% weapon power, and give Taka extra speed for a while. Chance of a Mortal Strike depends on the amount of stacks in the bottom left corner. You can have up to 5 stacks, and on 5 stacks you have 100% chance of a Mortal Strike. Stacks get accumulated when you use any ability, the ultimate grants up to 1-3 stacks at once depending on its level. Stacks can be gained by normal attacking, but slowly. In short, stacks give Taka significant damage and movement speed, so you must keep them on 5, it'll help you in combat and when farming the jungle. They decay quickly, so you must be always attacking something or using abilities to keep stacks in place. |
Kaiten This ability is one of the most interesting abilities in the game. It allows you to ignore completely any damage or negative effect – stun, slow, damage over time, etc, when you're in process of casting it. If Taka uses Kaiten well, he can block anything – Ringo and Koshka's ultimates, Joule and Catherine's stuns, it's practically a God Mode. Invite a friend and try to block various negative effects, like this. Maybe you won't get it at once, you need to train a little bit. If you you overdrive Kaiten, it's energy free, and the damage gets significantly higher, so we overdrive it at level 8. In a fight you should use Kaiten to avoid damage yourself in the first place, not to deal it, then you'll live much longer. I'm usually saving it for an enemy stun. |
Kaku Taka hides his head in a cardboard box and gets invisible for the enemies. While invisible, Taka heals himself and gets bonus movement speed. When in the box, Taka can be revealed by Flare Guns, or if he runs in the range of Scout Trap's vision. Also, Taka loses invisibility, when he takes damage, so if the enemies have AOE damage, they can fire it it the possible Taka's direction to discover him. Turrets and minions can still attack invisible Taka. Usually, if the enemies don't have flares, they chase a hidden Taka in the direction of his movement before the ability. So the best way to escape is to run, put on the box and then run in another direction. Also, you can use Kaku before a teamfight to reach easily the most squishy enemy and take good position for attack. The last way to use the box is – when chasing the enemy, take advantage of the speed boost. |
X-Retsu Taka bursts through his target, deals significant damage and inflicts Mortal Wound which reduces all healing of this enemy to 50%. Taka is a good initiator of teamfights thanks to his ultimate. He can quickly reach the main enemy damage dealer ( Skaarf, Ringo, Celeste), who often tries hanging in the rear. He gets strongly focused by the enemies, so after dealing a burst of damage his main task is to keep himself alive, while the other carry deals the main damage. For example, Taka strikes Celeste with X-Retsu, dodges her stun with Kaiten, hides with Kaku, and meanwhile his teammate Vox, completely forgotten by the enemies, casts ultimate on all the enemies and gets an Ace. |
