Why SAWport? Top
Well, first off, lemme ask you some questions:
- Do you like walking through a hail of bullets?
- Do you find it funny when a crazed gunman comes charging at you with a
instead of a
?
- Do you like crippling Koshka?
If all your answers are yes, then SAWport is the guy for you! What he lacks in actual support abilities and stats, he makes up in HUGE utility use! Watch, as the hail of bullets cripple even the fastest of heroes!
What order do you build these in? Top
Now, the key to this build is SLOW. Without any slowing items, it's just a regular SAW with an ironguard contract. I would rush
first, followed by a
. This will help you deal damage while you're slowing them with Supressing Fire. After you build the
, immideately Rush
and
. This will help you catch up and get into position for the ideal flanking spot.
Once you've got
,
and
the rest is up to you. I'd recommend
and
, because
Fountain of Renewal really helps to keep you (and your team) breathing while
Frostburn makes Supressing Fire a real pain in the mask. Any empty slots should either go to building defensive items or a
Shatterglass or
Clockwork, as Shatterglass adds speed to your Roadie Run, making you a menace of kill stealing or Clockwork for harassment of your Suppressing Fire.
What problems arise with SAWports? Top
If you dwell in (especially SEA's) soloq seas, chances are people will not have the intellectual intelligence to target the laner or jungler, and will instead go for the guy with the biggest gun. I mean, it's good getting flak so your teammates can do the maximal damage, but most of the time your teammates will already be fleeing for their life the moment a team fight is engaged, AND what good will your build be if nobody is even trying to run away from you?
Well, I've come up with some solutions! If you fight a melee fighter with abnormally fast attack speed (e.g.
Krul,
Rona or a steroid-frenzy
Taka), you should get an
Atlas Pauldron to turn them into turtles. You should also buy a
Crucible should you encounter an
Adagio or
Ardan, as you (and, perhaps if you're a good enough player) will be able to save your hopeless teammates.
How do I actually play SAWport? Top
Ah, the age old question. Contrary to popular belief, unlike a regular SAW he is much easier, however he is also harder to play compared to a meta support such as
Catherine. Successfully executing this debaucherious plan has been squashed down into an easy step-by-step guide (by yours truly). Here's how it works:
1. Use your Supressing Fire to draw them into your team. For example, if my team is on the left side of the map right next to a turret in the brush, I would block off the enemy's exit route back to their side of the map.
2. Now you've had a chunky amount of stacks fed into you, activate
Shiversteel and watch the sparks fly. Should they attack you, refer back to the defense section of my previous paragraph.
3. Repeat step one.
4. Add any other necessary abilities to make sure your team is okay. Repeat step two as soon as possible.
5. ???
6. Roadie run=Profit $.
