An Introduction to Rags-to-Riches Top
Money and skill is the name of the game in this strategy. Heroes with the most gold earned the fastest and highest minion kills usually come out with better Kill/Death/Assist ratios, better equipment, and a more fearful presence than your average hero.
Give a smart, skilled player a hero with strong offensive traits and the ability to make powerful and often lethal surprise strikes a lot of gold to get great equipment and you got a guy who has the potential to solo strike the fear into enemy players.
But, gold isnt free. And you dont have much time to get it in this game, where enemies can evolve and get stronger and stronger the longer and longer you play.
Which is why you need to be set up to win the Gold Race. Or should I say, Rush.
Now look at Taka here. Fast movement speed and a build that just smells of crystal potential. Being able to accelerate his own cool-down times, vault and jump over enemies while slashing them with his blades, and throwing smoke bombs to leave them thinking "what the fudge just happened" is Taka's thing. But he needs fast momentum to do it right. This demands fast movement speed and crystal equipment that will keep his momentum going and going and going.
But this stuff doesn't come cheap. So this is where Rags-to-Riches comes in
Combining the potential a Crystal Taka build can unleash with his abilities that smell of ambush and suprise kill, begging to keep the fights going in action with a build that prioritizes training and farming before unleashing devastation is the key here.
Getting your Foothold Top
First thing you want to do when you spawn is get the first rank of Kaiten and buy yourself Swift Shooter. In these stages your priority is getting the most amount of gold you can in the fastest amount of time. Take to the jungle and keep farming down there, farm as much as you can!
Get to Stormgaurd Contract ASAP and follow up with Sprint boots for movement speed and increased damage against enemy monsters in the jungle. The faster you can move to these camps and the faster you can get your kills the better things will be for you.
Your abilities will also be necessary to aid you so it is recommended you also buy an hourglass and battery to keep Kaitenning and Crit-killing your enemies, and use your Kaku bomb to keep your heroic perk boost alive at level 5, because critical hits and Stormgaurd means faster kills.
Buying time, Buying Power Top
Remember: Your priority is killing the monsters as swiftly as possible. Your teammates are a second priority. Do not worry, my friends who like team efforts. If all goes well, they will be more than thankful for your investment when you can own enemy teams with them as a power figure.
Until then, you want to buy time and power.
Keep killing more jungle monsters as fast as possible. Get Travel Boots first, then upgrade your swift shooter to a blazing salvo, and try to get to building up Clockwork ASAP.
If you're doing it right, you may find enough money amassed to have all the build items outlined in the Build guide towards the top, at this stage. Which means you also have infusions and you have Xretsu, a few levels of Kaku bombs, and approaching your way to take the overdrive on your Kaiten. Don't drink the potions, but have them on hand, one of each. When your build for this stage is done, you are ready to help support your teammates for a minute to a minute and a half in countering heroes actively, and helping them out after that when you're nearby when you are further training yourself. Drink the two infusions when you are about to enter combat and do your best to open up with a complete combo of all of your moves. Xretsu on them and land a basic attack then launch a Kaiten and fleet while they're caught off guard with a Kaku, or if the situation permits, run around and nearby them until your moves recharge
After about 2-3 hero kills OR a minute has elapsed, fall back to your initial strategy of prioritizing jungle gold farming. Should be much easier with some infusion left in you and your Clockwork will keep your momentum ticking. Remember, gold farming is your main priority once again.
Late-Game Metamorphosis Top
You should be on a roll with your momentum and gold by now and should have more than 80 minion kills by now. Prioritize getting yourself onto Aftershock and sell off the Blazing Salvo. Always leave yourself one slot to drink up the two Infusions at a nearby shop to give you an important boost of power.
With the effects of aftershock and clockwork on, you just made your moves stronger and your momentum faster. You also increased the damage your abilities now deal and they can give you a nice piece of life-steal. Speaking of momentum, get yourself Journey Boots.
Now go ahead and chose between building an Alternating Current or a Tension Bow. AC will boost your attack damage up to make up for the loss in power from selling off Stormgaurd. And will also help with ability damage as well. Tension Bow will add a bleeding edge to enemies you ambush and hit and is especially lethal to combine with Aftershock after hitting an enemy with an Xretsu when they least expect you. With that said, sell off your Stormgaurd Banner. It served you well, but by now are arent in rags, you are in riches.
After you get one of those, get either the other one or go for Eve of Harvest to boost your power and life-steal. You should be a sneaky fox-in-the-box assassin, but when with friends or defending against enemies under the cover of a turret, unleash your wrath.
Generally, aim for aggressive gameplay. Running and chasing down enemies and teaming up with heroes to take down turrets and objectives
The Storm Top
Game still going even after you got this far? Impressive. Now to build onto the Storm build. Getting all of these works makes an intensely aggressive, hard hitting, fast-footed Assassin who can keep up a strong attack momentum and can solo enemy teams and provide a major support on any objective he faces, commanding an aura that tells enemies to hightail away from him when they are alone lest they want to face your wrath. Now get out there and display your hard-earned power! Your teammates have been waiting so long for you to actively provide even a smidgen of support for them. Well, now, you can provide your teammates with more than support. If all has went well so far, you are nightmare inspiring to your enemies and have more than 110 minion kills to your name- think of all that gold to get your perks that work in full harmony with one another. Command your spirit into the heat of battle and take the awe-inspiring win that can get you upvotes from the entire match post-game.
Advantages and Disadvantages Top
This strategy and perk path will combine the accumulation of vast amounts of wealth as fast as you can with perk items that work hand-in-hand for the aggressive but also tactful and momentum-channeling gameplay style a good Crystal-Build Taka has been trained by House Kahuma for.
However, it is reliant on your ability to avoid initlal contact with enemies on the early to early-mid game without much interruption, and to a minor extent, that your change from growth-build to attack-build is so sudden it catches them off gaurd. As with other Taka builds, it also requires you to be well aquainted and skilled with playing his role in the heat of battle and executing his moves and timing well. Being disrupted in your gathering too often will leave you rather vulnerable if you cannot muster a good stream of gold at least faster than they can. It is also reliant to an extent in the mid-game on Infusions for power boosts, so if the enemy cuts you off from your streams of minions to farm gold from, you may find these potion costs dragging you behind somewhat.
