- Save
Rocket Leap for when a hero, such as
Adagio, uses
Verse of Judgement.
- Use
Thunder Strike as much as possible, in order to keep up your accumulator. This is why the
Void Battery is one of your first purchases.
- Your Ultimate,
Big Red Button, is best used against multiple opponents in a place where their movement is limited or they are not expecting it (i.e if they are fighting the Kraken). However, bear in mind that it is almost guaranteed to melt an enemy if they have around 1/2 health.
- Joule's Heroic Perk,
Heavy Plating, isn't something you need to think about too much in battle; you should be facing your opponent at most times, anyway, if you keep using
Thunder Strike, so don't worry too much about your vulnerable back.
- All of the crystal power in this build creates a devastating
Big Red Button, and this still has a 110 second cooldown at level 3, so use it wisely!
-
Joule can use her
Rocket Leap to jump over walls, so use this as a last-ditch attempt to escape.
- Always predict where the enemy will be when Joule lands, with
Rocket Leap; After tapping your landing point, there is a 1.5 second delay, while she is jumping through the air.
- The mupliplier for Joule's
Thunder Strike caps at 6, where she will deal up to 25% bonus damage per strike. Don't miss, or this will be reset.
- Joule's
Thunder Strike multiplier is now affected when she attacks turrets, as of the
Ardan update.
- At max level, both Joule's
Rocket Leap and
Big Red Button will cost the same amount of energy: 150.
- Possibly invest in a
Reflex Block or
Aegis, instead of a
Lifespring or
Fountain of Renewal, so that you can't be stopped when chanelling your Ultimate.
-
Big Red Button has a delay of approximately 1 second, before it blasts for 2 seconds.
- Joule is amazing. Period.
