SAW Once you get 1 Shatterglass and your frostburn, you can pretty much 1-hit him. Just try to dodge his Suppressing Fire or jump on him.

Ringo Same as above, but you should be careful of stutter steppers. Activate Crucible when he uses Hellfire Brew.

Petal With your Thunder Strike, you can kill off her Munions and seeds real easy. She is usually squishy so just laser her. Just annoying to lane against.

Krul Squishy, but could do a lot of dmg if you don't have your team-mates. When you use your laser, he can stun you and cancel it. Otherwise, jump on him and burst him down.

Adagio Has high range and is usually quite tanky. try to jump on him when he uses his Verse of Judgement.

Skaarf Has high range which means you can't Thunder Strike him as easy. But he is still really squishy so... you know...

Ardan Very tanky, but doesn't do that much damage. Go through his ult with your crucible. Kill his team first, then attack him.

Glaive Tanky and does dmg. Scout the bushes for ganks. If he attacks, just jump on him and your team should help you kill him.

Celeste Poke in early game is very annoying. watch out for stuns and ults. Pretty squishy.

Catherine Tanky and does tons of dmg if she activates her shield and stands inside your laser. Attack after she uses the shield.

Taka Hardcore poke and is is very hard to catch him. Does a lot of dmg if he gets aftershock. when he does, replace cauldron with an Aegis. Otherwise you can burst him down pretty easily.

Joule Tanky, does dmg and just overall annoying. Most Joules I face builds WP, so their laser won't do as much dmg. Watch out for her jumps.

Why Joule Lane? Top

Everyone knows Joule is usually played in the jungle. She has good ganks and decent clear. So why play her in lane? Well, let's start with that she has good clear. She can push those minions really fast. She is perfect at setting up ganks with her Rocket Leap. Granted, she doesn't have much range against the casual Ringo or Saw lane. But what she loses in range, she makes up in tankiness. AND A GIANT LASER. With CP Joule, once you hit your level 6 and get your Shatterglass, you can preeetty much insta-kill most squishies. And tanks. Her Big Red Button has an OP crystal scaling. Is there anything much else to say?

Abilities Top

Heavy Plating
Joule takes reduced damage from basic attacks that hit her from the front and sides. Damage is reduced by 15 - 33% (level 1 - 12).
Honestly, this Heroic Perk isn't the best, but it gives her some useful bonus armour from the front. But then again, why would you let someone attack you in the back?
Rocket Jump
Joule leaps to a target location. Enemies caught underneath Joule take full damage and are stunned, while enemies near the impact are knocked away, slowed and take 1/3 the damage.
This ability is your escape and initiation. Use it to jump over walls, or use it to jump into their team and rain down Thunder Strikes.
Thunder Strike
Joule thrusts her sword forward, arcing a bolt of energy out through the blade. This strike deals both weapon and crystal damage in a line in front of her. When this successfully strikes an enemy, the next Thunder Strike within 7 seconds will deal bonus damage and cost extra energy. This buff can stack up to 5 times and is lost when stunned. When maxed, this ability can crit weapon damage.
Ah... Thunder Strike... your main ability. Once you get fed, or even if you don't, either WP or CP will still do tons on damage. Really, it doesn't matter if you max this, but Rocket Leap's overdrive is probably better for CP

Big Red Button


This ability is what will be getting you most of your kills. Whether to secure objectives or killing Ringos, this is probably the best ability ever. It has an OP CP scaling, and can land all 3 ticks if you are in a tight area. It can 1-hit most people and change the course of a teamfight and to make an epic comeback. This is just the best skill.

Conclusion Top

So have you changed your mind about lane Joule? You better. Try it out yourself and dominate solo-queue. (A fun trick is, hover your hero select over SAW, Petal, or Ringo, and then when everyone has locked in, insta-lock Joule.) Lane Joule first caught my eye when we all insta-locked junglers, and then Deptar was forced to play Joule in the lane. We lost actually, but since then Deptar has been having better luck. Last game, he went 12/1. That's pretty good. But I hope I have taught you something and you have learned...

Tip, when you know you are going to die, use the laser and if they kill you, (assuming you don't have cooldown items) the laser will be on a 40 sec cooldown. If you kill someone, its a bonus!
