Threat Hero Notes
1
SAW Your Heavy Plating weakens his auto-attacks, your Rocket Leap stun removes his stacks. If he shanks you and tries to run, hit him with Big Red Button. If it's not up pursue with boots or stomp. Just dodge Suppressing Fire and Mad Cannon.
2
Petal Your stomp will usually kill minions, and if not the follow up Thunder Strike will. Don't let them play a hop and hit game, take the fight to them with your stomp. If you get the jump on them and take minions out of the picture before they can concentrate on you they're screwed.
2
Joule Other Joules are not too much of a problem, your Crystal build makes their heroic perk useless, and your steady early game farm means you should be ahead in the item war. Don't run unless you're sure their Big Red Button is down, and land your stun first. Should be an easy kill.
3
Adagio If you stay away he whittles you down with range, if you get too close he sets you on fire then uses his ultimate for the stun and usually the kill. Try to kill him a lot early game before he gets his ult, and late game try to mow him down quick with a stomp into laser.
3
Catherine Same deal as Adagio, land your stun first, and don't waste your ultimate while her shield is up. Be careful of silence, without abilities our damage tanks because we're a Crystal build.
4
Ringo Ringo has high damage and loves to snipe you from afar. His Hellfire Gourd ignores your armor and leaves you taking constant damage and unable to recall for a bit. Many Ringos are greedy however, and love to hang around the safety of the turret while on low health and farm minions for a bit more gold. Appear out of nowhere with your smash and get the $%*& out of there before the turret kills you. If you are too low on health a well aimed laser can do the same, and maybe damage the turret a bit if you aim perfectly.
5
Krul Krul is the bane of all melees, with his weaknesses shutting down your attacks and forcing you to run, only to get skewered in the back and stunned by his ult. A crystal build makes us less vulnerable, but try to use abilities to weaken him as much as possible before moving into melee.
6
Glaive Glaive is a problem. His base stats are all higher than yours except for Energy and Health Regeneration, plus his abilities can slap you around the map and keep you stunned. So take advantage of this! Incinerate him with your laser, or charge him during his frequent recalls to base.

Koshka Koshka can stun you for a long duration, removing Thunder Strike stacks and leaving you open to ganks. Impossible to get away from because her Heroic Perk gives her a speed boost equivalent to boots while attacking heroes, always fight this to the end, running is futile without turrets or allies covering you. As with any stunning opponents, land your stun first and get it over with as soon as possible. If your opponents have a Koshka, always recall and heal earlier than you have to, or you'll get picked off while farming over and over again.
9
Taka Taka is the opposite of Koshka. While Koshka you can never get away from, Taka always gets away from you. If a fight is close and Taka disappears, don't let your guard down! Turning invisible and then circling around to hit you with an X-Retsu when you leave or attack someone else is a common tactic by advanced players. Their kiting and switchblade flip making it easy for them to dodge your ult, so only use it when they are preoccupied and don't see you.

Introduction Top

This is my favorite Joule build, one that has never failed to earn me less than eight kills, even after a dozen or more matches. I've never died more than three times either, and normally average zero or one. Keep in mind this guide is for players who want a Crystal Damage Joule build to dominate the jungle. Please stay in the jungle! This guide requires precise farming early on and a death in the lane because you were greedy and chased someone past a turret will throw the whole guide off.

Only go to the lane when:

1: An allied turret is destroyed. This usually means their is a low health enemy player for you to pick off, or a cloud of minions to be fried by your laser. Both scenarios are good.

2. When you (or the enemy team) has captured the Kraken, and you are going to support (or kill) it.

3. When all mines are captured, your set for that time period is complete, and the jungle is clear of enemy players.

Enjoy the guide!

How to Spend your $$$$$$ Top

When the game begins (0:00) immediately buy Ironguard Contract and maybe a Halcyon Potion or two then head off to the jungle. Put your point into Thunder Strike.

At (0:45) the jungle monsters spawn, be sure you're in position to start farming that very second. We need to earn 1400 gold in 5 and a half minutes. If their's someone else farming, time Thunder Strike at the exact second so you get last hit. As soon as you hit 800 gold, buy a Lifespring from the jungle shop. This increases Joule's already great regen even more, allowing us to farm almost indefinitely. The time should be about (2:50).

Keep farming until the mines spawn at (4:00) then buy Crystal Bit and Swift Shooter. Take the Minion Mine close to your side, then buy Hourglass. Time should be (5:30). Continue to farm, but watch for enemy players. Your high-speed farming early on means you should be ahead in levels and items, but watch for ganks if they have multiple junglers.

Build your Swift Shooter into Blazing Salvo, and your Crystal Bit into Heavy Prism. Then save up 1100 to combine the two into Alternating Current. This adds large amounts of crystal damage to your auto-attacks, and you will hit significantly faster. Finally buy a Void Battery. Time should be (10:00). Build Hourglass into Chronograph, Lifespring into Renewal Fountain, and buy Light Armor. Now it should be (15:00). Try to signal to your team to head to the Kraken. If your team is busy in the lane or isn't listening, keep farming.

Upgrade Light Armor to Atlas Pauldron, Chronograph to Clockwork, and buy Eve of Harvest. Time should be (20:00 to 22:00). You can now solo Kraken! I won't elaborate, the exact method for doing so will be in another chapter. If the enemy has already gotten the Kraken or if you capture it and it's not enough to win, keep farming but pop into the lane to kill enemies. If you have nothing to use Big Red Button on, use it on a turret. Whenever the cooldown on your ability is off and your energy is reasonable, you are wasting that ability. At late game (25:00 and beyond) just buy Journey Boots.

Then you're done, however, if you have tons of spare gold after that, sell any one of your items (preferably a cheap one like Clockwork), buy a Crystal Infusion, activate it, then buy back that item. So that's what you spend your cash on, now how do you farm so fast, or deal with enemy junglers? (To be added later)
